The so-called traditional festivals refer to the established festivals handed down from history and circulated among the people, such as the festive Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, homesick Tomb-Sweeping Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Double Ninth Festival in memory of Qu Yuan. The culture carried by traditional festivals has unique value for a nation's spiritual memory. Chinese traditional festivals are diverse in form and rich in content, and they are important carriers to carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and inherit the traditional virtues of China. In today's multicultural world, where Chinese and Western cultures blend, it is of great significance for us to make good use of traditional festivals, reveal the intrinsic value of traditional culture, carry forward the national spirit and strengthen the traditional culture education of primary school students.
However, in recent years, the west wind has spread eastward, and foreign festivals such as Christmas, April Fool's Day and Valentine's Day have become more and more popular, so that today's primary school students celebrate Christmas more grandly and happily than the Mid-Autumn Festival. Even some time ago, South Korea and China competed for the Dragon Boat Festival. Some enterprises have also added fuel to the fire. Primary school students have a soft spot for foreign festivals, which is brought about by the opening up of society. It's not worth making a fuss about, but what about our own festivals? Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ninth Festival ... How many people can know their origins? We can't help asking: What happened to the Chinese nation with a long history? What happened to China's time-honored traditional culture? Traditional festivals such as Tomb-Sweeping Day and Dragon Boat Festival are just ignored in schools, and the theme activities of traditional festivals are not carried out at all. This cannot but be said to be a major deficiency in education. So I want to talk about how to make good use of traditional festivals to strengthen the traditional culture education of primary school students in combination with my own education and teaching practice.
First, dig deep into the connotation of traditional festivals.
Many students don't like traditional festivals because they don't understand the connotation of traditional festivals, so it is very important to fully explore the connotation of traditional festivals. How to develop the cultural connotation of traditional festivals? Teachers need to explore and study traditional festivals, such as Dragon Boat Festival. In addition to guiding students to understand the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival and participating in the practice of making zongzi and sewing sachets, the focus should also be on "entering Qu Yuan". Through understanding Qu Yuan's story, reciting Qu Yuan's poems and other activities, the story of Qu Yuan is reproduced: more than two thousand years ago, the great poet Qu Yuan shed the last tear for his motherland and jumped into the rolling Miluo River. Unable to serve the country, Qu Yuan died for the country, stuck to the noble quality of not colluding with others, appreciated his painful and persistent great feelings, and experienced his noble and loyal great personality from his pursuit of life and death rather than his departure from his old country. It is of great practical significance to learn and inherit Qu Yuan's noble personality during the Dragon Boat Festival. Second, pay attention to traditional festival education in classroom teaching.
