Why didn't educational psychology come into being in China?
I haven't answered the question for a long time. This question is very interesting and I want to answer it.

First of all, there is no discipline tradition in China, and philosophy, ethics, psychology and pedagogy are all mixed together. Even famous scientists in the world are more involved in humanistic issues.

Secondly, educational psychology is the product of school education. Methodologically, empirical methods are needed, while China's tradition does not emphasize analysis.

Third, the west advocates practicality. The background of modern education is the rapid development of industrialization, which needs qualified workers. China's industrialization process is later than that of the west, so there is no such demand. Modern education has not developed, and the corresponding disciplines of studying and teaching psychological phenomena and laws have not sprouted and developed.

Finally, although modern educational psychology was not born in China, its thought appeared in China as early as 1960.
