In the past few years, in order to control the enrollment scale of ordinary high schools and support the development of vocational education, the state has forcibly increased the enrollment ratio of senior high school entrance examinations to 1: 1. In reality, less than 50% of the candidates are willing to attend secondary vocational schools. In order to solve this contradiction, the flexible way of comprehensive high school was introduced.
Comprehensive senior high school is an educational model in secondary vocational schools, which aims at enabling students to continue their studies.
1) to cultivate basic cultural knowledge of ordinary senior high schools and secondary vocational schools, and professional knowledge and skills of secondary vocational schools;
2) Three-year system, students can obtain the graduation certificate of ordinary high school issued by ordinary high school after graduation, and the results are qualified and meet the graduation conditions.
Ordinary high school graduation certificates issued by secondary vocational schools (the Ministry of Education of ordinary high schools) or ordinary high schools can participate in the entrance examination of ordinary colleges and universities in that year.
Students who have not been admitted to ordinary colleges and universities will retain their status as students in secondary vocational schools and continue to complete the fourth-year vocational and technical education courses, which meet the graduation conditions. Secondary vocational schools issue secondary vocational school graduation certificates uniformly printed by the Provincial Department of Education, and can participate in the separate entrance examination for higher vocational education in ordinary colleges and universities organized by the provincial education administrative department.
