The third Saturday in September every year is the legal national defense education day in China. September is also National Defense Education Month. September 16, 2023 is the 23rd National Defense Education Day, and September1Sunday to September 17 is the National Defense Education Publicity Week. National defense consciousness is the spiritual great wall of a country and a nation. The prosperity of a country and the revival of a nation are inseparable from a strong sense of national defense.

National defense education is the key, national defense is the core and education is the way. Only when everyone participates in national defense education can we gather strong strength for realizing the dream of strengthening the Chinese dream and the military. By carrying out national defense education, the state enables citizens to enhance their national defense concepts, master basic national defense knowledge, learn necessary military skills, stimulate patriotic enthusiasm, and consciously fulfill their national defense obligations.

The nature of China's national defense:

First, China is a socialist country, and all state power belongs to the people. Defending the motherland is the sacred duty of all China people, that is to say, our national defense is the national defense of the whole people.

Second, adhere to an independent foreign policy and the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. Our national defense is not influenced by external forces, nor is it allied with any country or group of countries, that is, our national defense is independent.

Third, as a developing country, China will never be a superpower or engage in hegemonism. We don't want an inch of land from any country, and we don't allow any country to occupy an inch of land from our country. That is, our national defense is self-defense of active defense.
