Shenyang University is a full-time general institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education and enrolling students nationwide. The history of the school can be traced back to Fengtian Industrial School established in 1905 and Xinmin Public School established in 1906.
At present, the school has developed into a comprehensive university with undergraduate education as the main body, doctoral and master's postgraduate education, continuing education and international student education. It is one of the universities with the longest running history and the most complete disciplines in Liaoning Province.
The school has successively become an excellent engineer training program university of the Ministry of Education and the first batch of demonstration universities in Liaoning Province to transform into application-oriented, innovative and entrepreneurial education and study abroad education. Ranked 187 in the Alumni Association's ranking of Chinese universities in 2022.
At present, the school has 20 teaching colleges and 59 undergraduate enrollment majors, covering economics, law, teaching, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, art and other disciplines 10, with over 7000 students10.
