After receiving the notice that President Du asked me to speak, I have been thinking about the topic of "how to improve the teaching quality of the school". The topic of self-feeling is not only widely designed, but also difficult to elaborate in all aspects. As a young man, it is difficult for me to complete the task successfully. I can only report my views and practices in recent years to the leading teachers. Please correct me if there are any mistakes.
First of all, let me talk about my understanding of the profession of "teacher": through years of teaching career, I not only understand the meaning of the sentence "teacher is the organizer and leader of educational activities and plays a leading role in educational activities", but also deeply realize that in our existing community environment, the overall quality of teachers is higher than that of ordinary groups. When chatting with the teacher, I often hear the teacher say that "what we do is actually the work of conscience". Understand it carefully and try to figure it out. Teachers' conscience is nothing more than their dedication, conscious work, love for students and unity in teaching.
In daily work, teachers' work is unsupervised in most cases. Although there are educational objects, because of the immaturity of students and the unequal relationship between teachers and students, students often do not have the ability to comprehensively supervise teachers' work and its quality. Besides, teachers' work has no boundaries and boundaries in a sense. For example, teachers should not only complete the work in school, but also establish an educational situation of home-school integration with parents. This connection requires teachers to put a lot of energy into it. We can't have a clear definition of how to practice teachers' mission. For another example, "teaching" is endless. Besides the basic work, how to complete the teacher's task depends entirely on the teacher's subjective decision. Therefore, the profession of teachers is a work of conscience, which is too summative! The reason why teachers have the above advantages provides a strong foundation and guarantee for schools to effectively improve the teaching quality.
In view of the fact that there are many primary school teachers, many elderly teachers, few young teachers and almost no middle-aged teachers in our towns and villages, we must clearly recognize the following three points if we want to do a good job in teaching:
First, the old teachers are the precious wealth of teaching and scientific research in our school. In terms of practical experience, old teachers have accumulated valuable experience in teaching and educating people for decades. Old teachers have actively explored and mastered a wealth of laws to deal with problems in their daily work, so they have the richest knowledge and experience, the most practical and the most say, and have unique advantages and functions in school teaching and scientific research. At the same time, we should also be soberly aware that the old teachers have certain limitations in their knowledge level due to the reasons of the times, and their educational concepts are outdated, and some of them can't keep up with the new educational concepts, resulting in backward teaching methods.
Second, young teachers have a wide range of knowledge, new educational ideas, dare to accept new things and have a certain spirit of innovation, but we are sometimes impetuous. The so-called newborn calves are not afraid of tigers. Sometimes we rely on the spirit of an idiot, and our ideas are very innovative, but they may not work in reality.
In view of the above two points, in order to comprehensively improve the quality of education and teaching in our school, we must integrate scientifically and effectively, give full play to our respective advantages, help each other, learn from each other's strong points and make progress together! !
The improvement of teaching quality is not one or two links, but the result of many links. Let me talk about my practice and views on the following aspects:
First: daily management, do a good job in preparing lessons, attending classes, setting and correcting homework, attending class attendance, evaluating classes and other issues to strengthen management.
Lesson preparation: Based on the collective lesson preparation system in our town, vigorously publicize and mobilize teachers to actively participate, seize the weekly business activities in the town, and urge teachers to further grasp the teaching materials as a whole. Combined with the actual situation of our school, most village primary schools are in one class in one grade, so we can prepare lessons in three departments: junior, middle and senior. This will not only help teachers to further master the teaching materials, but also help teachers to connect the grades of the teaching materials.
Second, the three links of attending class, attending class and evaluating class are the key to improve the quality of education and teaching, and they are also the processes of mutual infiltration, mutual influence and mutual promotion. In the process of class, it is a review of one's educational ability (for example, the practice of "classroom teaching feedback system" advocated by us last semester should be vigorously publicized and strictly implemented); Listening to lectures is a process of learning our own experience and methods (in this respect, we strictly grasp the task of listening to lectures in 20 classes per semester for each teacher, and increase the activities of listening to lectures at will and by pushing the door); Curriculum evaluation is a process of mutual summary, feedback and improvement. Therefore, we must do these three tasks well in daily management and run through each semester. In this respect, I want to emphasize in particular that due to the reasons of the times and the occlusion of educational information, the teaching concepts and methods of rural primary school teachers are relatively backward. Therefore, as the vice principal in charge of teaching in a small village, we must let the teachers go out or invite the advanced ones in on the basis of doing a good job in the lectures and teaching and research activities competitions in our school, let the teachers learn and compare themselves, find out the gap, and point out the direction for their future teaching. For example, the "one class under one roof" activity organized by our town center is a good opportunity for every village. This activity can reflect the different treatment methods, teaching methods, students' mastery and so on in the same class. It is more convenient for each teacher to improve the overall classroom control ability. However, every village primary school should make good preparations in three aspects before organizing: first, as a business principal, it is necessary to weigh the specific situation of classroom teaching of all teachers in the whole school through large-scale lectures, and make accurate induction, analysis and summary by the school as a unit. Identify the most urgent aspects that school teachers need to improve. Second, determine the weak grades and weak subjects in our school. Third, do a good job of summarizing and giving feedback. This link is particularly important. While teachers are aware of their own shortcomings, it is the most important thing to point out the direction of future efforts.
Homework setting and marking: Reasonable and effective homework can get twice the result with half the effort. Therefore, it is necessary to make reasonable regulations on the assignments of various subjects, including the workload and the methods of correcting assignments, and conduct follow-up inspection and feedback in time.
Second, increase the development of teaching and research activities within and between schools.
The improvement of teachers' teaching methods is a slow, gradual and accumulated process. Therefore, we must avoid this wrong move, let teachers learn through participation, try to use it in practice, revise and improve it in application, and finally come up with a set of teaching methods that meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform and suit them.
First, increase the development of school teaching and research activities. Due to the small number of classes in the village, the teaching and research group can be divided into disciplines, and lectures and class evaluation activities can be held from time to time, so that teachers can speak freely and seek common ground among disciplines in the debate to achieve the goal of overall improvement.
Second, strive to create a platform for teachers to exchange and learn. By organizing teacher competitions, we can build a communication platform for teachers, promote mutual exchange and learning among teachers, and improve teachers' teaching quality and level.
Third, increase inter-school exchanges. As mentioned above, we can combine the activity of "having classes as before" organized by our town, so that teachers can explore a certain subject in a targeted way, find their own shortcomings and gaps, find their own efforts more directly and conveniently, and point out the direction for future classroom teaching.
Fourth, make full use of educational resources. As each of us, our strength, ability and energy are very limited. Therefore, we must mobilize the strength of everyone around us, try our best to make full use of all the resources around us and carry out more convenient and effective educational activities. Our colleagues are all over the schools in Jiaonan. We can ask them for advice, learn from them and even ask for the teaching materials we need, so as to truly share educational resources.
In order to successfully implement the above four points and achieve the expected results, we must do a good job in preparing for the event, that is, the publicity and launching of the event. The propaganda is not clear. We can infiltrate students' opinions and parents' demands when chatting, or distribute them in the form of documents, or publicize them in the form of soliciting opinions. Because the main body of our activities is the teacher, our main body has two levels of educational concepts: the old teacher and the new teacher. Therefore, we must do a good job in the early mobilization of these two levels in advance. Let them realize their own shortcomings and areas that need improvement, as well as the significance of activities, in order to achieve a sympathetic situation. As people say, consciousness determines action.
