(A) the misunderstanding of family education
Now more and more parents want their children to add some artistic cells, so they report their children to kindergarten under the brand of "artistic characteristics". Even if there is no art education course in kindergarten, parents will try their best to send their children to various special classes, hoping that their children will be infected and edified by art in such classes.
1, art education equals a hodgepodge.
Many parents don't understand art education at all. They think that art education is to let children learn more outside the classroom and enroll them in various extracurricular interest classes, such as "Chinese painting" and "violin". The purpose is to make children become generalists from such education, completely ignoring their real interests, making art education the starting point of happiness, but in the end it has become a heavy burden for children.
2. Art education has become skill training;
Many parents know that attaching importance to "art" over "Tao" is the most common problem in art education, but they still unconsciously regard playing well and painting like it as the measure of their children's artistic education achievements, ignoring the improvement of their artistic accomplishment and aesthetic taste. Many parents think that art education is an accessory of education. Learning art well can increase the bargaining chip for various exams and make art education a skill training.
3. Ask children to reach professional level.
We know that the core content of art education is to give children fun, not to let them reach the professional level too early. However, some parents take it for granted that the higher the level of teaching children, the better, and measure the achievements of art education with a set of professional standards, ignoring the difference between art education and pure professional training. Of course, the way of training professionals can improve children's artistic level faster, but this is not in line with the original intention of art education in early childhood education.
Mistakes in kindergarten education
Art education is an important part of preschool education. Children are born with a tendency to love and explore artistic activities, but this natural tendency is unnaturally strengthened and trained, most of which cannot be maintained, and is often restricted or even stifled. Mainly manifested in:
1, the tradition of guiding ideology is backward.
(1) Focus on skills training.
For a long time, many preschool teachers have formed a set of explicit or implicit concepts and behavior patterns centered on skill training. In children's art education activities, these teachers consciously or unconsciously focus on the goal of skill training, whether in formulating educational goals, designing teaching methods or organizing teaching. They attach importance to children's correct description, production and expression ability, but ignore their own feelings and expressions of art, which stifles children's artistic potential and creativity.
(2) Teacher-centered.
At present, our children's art education activities still can't jump out of the strange circle of children around teachers. The phenomenon of "I will do what the teacher tells me to do" is still very common. Teachers are absolute authorities and disseminators of universal knowledge and skills. Teaching activities are led by teachers, who let children observe, imitate, remember and answer questions prepared by teachers in advance. Children can only wander around in it and can't jump out. Even if he jumps out, the teacher will pull him back immediately, and the child can only be forced to give up his personal "heresy" thought and exploration behavior. This "teacher-centered" concept will only stifle children's creativity and is harmful to their growth.
(3) Take knowledge as the center
The traditional view of knowledge holds that teaching is to fill the "whole library" (brain) with knowledge, and learning is to acquire knowledge. Knowledge is the understanding of experience, facts and rules, and the truth of this understanding is absolute, unique, static and even ultimate. In children's art education activities, some teachers are deeply influenced by this traditional view of knowledge, and adopt indoctrination teaching in their teaching, emphasizing the recitation, imitation and repeated practice of knowledge, which leads to the children who are trained to be timid, afraid to think and do things that teachers have not said. How do children invent and innovate?
2, unfairness and polarization.
In the past, there were indeed many injustices in our early childhood education. This phenomenon is particularly serious in children's art education. Teachers prefer children who are good at imitating and understanding teachers' intentions and classify them as gifted children with strong ability. Teachers have special respect for them and give them more detailed guidance. And some so-called "poor ability" children, teachers always think that they are difficult to "begin to understand", so let nature take its course. This leads to "better" and "worse", which is extremely unfavorable to the growth of young children.
3. The teaching mode is rather boring.
In traditional art education, we have to admit that we are taking a road that goes against the law of children's development. From the moment we entered the park, we put our children on the realistic fence of "painting gourds according to patterns". Teachers often draw an example on the blackboard first, let them draw a gourd, stop criticizing if there is something out of line, and overemphasize the mastery of knowledge and skills, such as drawing a circle without drawing a circle, drawing a straight line and so on. Finally, show the work, and the children appreciate each other (compare who painted it). The consequence of this kind of art education is that children's artistic perception ability declines, intuition as a whole aesthetic way is destroyed, and aesthetic experience is extremely lacking. The children taught under this educational model are often dull and boring, and their homework is the same.
