Nankai University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and also a national "double-class" construction university. [60] The national "2/KOOC-0/Project" and "985 Project" were selected as the national "Everest Plan", "Strong Foundation Plan", "20/KOOC-0/Plan" and "/KOOC-0/65438".

Nankai University was founded in 19 19 by Yan Xiu and Zhang Boling adhering to the concept of saving the country through education. 1937, the campus was bombed by the Japanese invaders and moved south. Private Nankai University, Peking University and Tsinghua University merged in Changsha to form the National Changsha Temporary University. 1938 moved to Kunming, Yunnan, and changed its name to National Southwest Associated University; 1946 returned to Tianjin to resume school and changed to national. After the founding of New China, it has undergone institutional adjustment and become a national key university with equal emphasis on arts and sciences. Since the reform and opening up, Tianjin Foreign Trade College and China Tourism Management Cadre College have merged.
