According to the Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and related policies and regulations, public primary schools should enroll students according to their age, education background, school status and other conditions, and refer to the local compulsory education enrollment regulations, and enrollment should not be downgraded.

If there is a big gap in students' academic level, students can choose to transfer to a school that suits their academic level, but they can't directly reduce their grades or classes.
