At this moment, I am as excited as everyone else. In recent years, several veterans who have lived together day and night will be discharged from the army and return to their hometown in a few days because of the expiration of their service. I really can't be calm.

Looking back a few years ago, you were concerned about the motherland and national defense, actively responded to the call of the motherland, and firmly entered the ranks of the Green Party of the Republic. In the police camp, you endured all kinds of hardships, paid hard sweat and blood, and kept growing sturdily-from an ordinary social youth to a veteran who was beaten by a sledgehammer in the military camp. Whether it is words and deeds, work ability, physical quality, or political and ideological quality, it has achieved unprecedented development and progress, and its thinking is more mature.

Now, for veterans, it can be said that their merits are complete and they have successfully fulfilled the sacred mission entrusted by the motherland and the people. I firmly believe that in the future social journey, through your efforts, you will be able to overcome all difficulties and forge a brand-new world for our hometown, for our folks and for ourselves.

Here, I also expressed my thanks and organizational requirements to the veterans, my good comrades-in-arms and good brothers who are about to leave the army, but today, I want to say a few more words, hoping to encourage you:

First, know yourself correctly, go into battle lightly and join the society.

At the mobilization meeting, the instructor made it very clear that we came to be soldiers because of the needs of the motherland and national defense. We came to do our duty, not to enjoy it, nor to be cadres. Everyone knows that it is very important to do one's duty. Many veterans really want to stay in the army and do their part for national defense construction. Organizational understanding, we also want to keep every comrade. However, due to the needs of army building and the arrangement of military service system, we have to make this difficult decision today.

Being a soldier is glorious, and being discharged from the army is glorious. I said: No matter who you are, you can't treat the defeated army as a loser!

A few years ago, our parents sent us to the army. The purpose was to let us receive education and exercise in the army, strengthen our physique, increase our knowledge, cultivate our will, establish a correct outlook on life, and better serve our hometown and society after serving. Now, we have graduated. I hope that veterans will not live up to their parents' earnest expectations, adjust their mentality, know themselves correctly, put down their burdens, go into battle lightly, show the temperament that soldiers should have, face the society bravely and meet the new challenges.

Second, we must maintain a firm political stance and correctly treat the issue of "three views".

"Three Views" refers to the world outlook, outlook on life and values.

Establishing a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, regardless of past, present and future, is the primary issue in everyone's life.

Veterans will be discharged from the army, and after returning to their hometown, they will join the society and start a long journey of life. If the problem of "three views" is not solved, or it is not resolutely solved, then no matter what you do, it is impossible to be conscientious and make any achievements.

World outlook, outlook on life and values determine a person's life path, ideological realm, moral sentiment and code of conduct. There are many people in society who fail to grasp the self-transformation and self-improvement of world outlook, outlook on life and values on the road of life, which leads to deviations in life, and some even embark on the road of crime and become social moths and historical sinners.

Our veterans are trained by the army and have been able to establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values for a long time. To bring up this topic again today is to hope that our veterans will keep in mind the teachings of history, continue to establish and adhere to the correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, maintain a firm political concept, carry forward the fine style of hard work, be proud of suffering, suffer first and enjoy later, and make contributions to the prosperity and development of their hometown, people in their hometown and local economic construction.

Third, we should pay attention to knowledge accumulation, constantly enrich ourselves, and further improve our ability to deal with and solve problems.

Every comrade knows and understands the phrase "there is no end to learning", but not many people really attach importance to and persist in learning. Only when books are rarely used, and when there is no way to work and do things, can we feel the importance of knowledge. Therefore, we must strengthen our study and constantly enrich ourselves.

Learning here does not require everyone to study with books in their hands every day. There are many sources of knowledge, some from books, some from life, some from practice, and some from the experience summarized by others. However, in any case, it is important that we learn to accumulate. As long as it is an advanced concept, methods and means that help us to make progress, we should accumulate it well and constantly transform it into knowledge that we can use. This is called applying what we have learned.

In modern times, learning is very important and knowledge is endless. The 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly proposed to build a learning society. The coming century is a century full of competition. Without sufficient knowledge reserves, there will be a lack of stamina and motivation for development. As long as we can persist in learning, pay attention to accumulation and constantly improve, with this excellent quality, coupled with the unique temperament and ability of soldiers, we will not worry about not being able to play our own specialties in society.

Fourth, treat personal difficulties correctly.

After working in the army for several years, I will leave the team soon, and there may be some problems and difficulties. For example, some comrades are sick, some comrades want to stay in the team and become non-commissioned officers, some comrades have difficulties in family life, and some comrades have no work arrangements. These are real problems. If you have difficulties, you can raise them with the organization. If it meets the policy requirements, I believe the organization will try its best to solve it. We will report the problems that the company can't solve to our superiors step by step. We often say that no matter how many difficulties there are, there is no way. Our soldiers, in particular, should have the courage and determination to overcome difficulties.

Five, set an example, sum up experience and pass it on to future generations.

Veterans are predecessors, and thoughts are clowns. After years of military training, you have a strong comprehensive quality and ability. You have accumulated rich experience in theoretical study in the classroom, military training in the playground and actual fire fighting and rescue. These experiences are really hard to get. After the training of the army, you have matured, and your excellent quality and style will become an example for future generations of soldiers to learn. Therefore, I hope that you will sum up your good ideas and work style and pass them on to the next generation. At the same time, you will also recommend some good suggestions and opinions to the army, so as to continue to exert the waste heat for the healthy development and regularization of the army and ensure and promote the continuous progress and development of the army building!
