Changsha Normal University is an undergraduate college jointly established by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. The Development Course of Changsha Normal University

1, founding period (19 12- 1949)

During this period, the predecessor of Changsha Normal University was Changsha County Normal School founded by Mr. Xu Teli on 19 12, which was one of the earliest normal schools in Hunan Province. The school has trained a number of famous revolutionaries, educators and intellectuals such as Tian Han, Xu Guangda and Liao Mosha. The school has been closed until 1946 while in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

2. Consolidation adjustment period (1950- 1974)

During this period, Changsha Normal University has undergone many mergers and adjustments, and has been renamed Hunan Women's Normal School, Hunan Changsha Women's Normal School and Hunan Kindergarten Normal School. The school was closed again during the Cultural Revolution, and it was not reopened until 1974, and it was renamed Changsha Normal School in Hunan Province.

3. Professional development period (1975-20 12)

During this period, Changsha Normal University focused on specialized education and gradually formed a professional system featuring preschool education and primary education. The school moved to the new campus of Xingsha in 2003 and was renamed Hunan Children's Engineering Vocational College in 2004. In 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed "Changsha Normal School" and positioned as a normal college.

4. Undergraduate promotion period (20 13 to present)

During this period, Changsha Normal University achieved a historic leap from undergraduate to undergraduate. On April 20 13, it was renamed Changsha Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was awarded a bachelor's degree in April 20 17. Relying on pedagogy, art, literature, science, engineering, management and other disciplines, the school has set up 28 undergraduate majors.
