First, the Teaching Steering Committee is an expert organization led by the Ministry of Education. It has the nature of an academic institution. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, it conducts research, consultation, guidance, evaluation and service for undergraduate teaching in colleges and universities. Second, the members of the Teaching Steering Committee are selected according to the principles of firm political stance, enthusiastic personnel training, high academic level, rich teaching experience, active thinking, strong organization and coordination ability, decent work style, combination of the old and the young, and classified guidance and promotion. On the basis of extensive consultation, the members of the Teaching Steering Committee are appointed by the Ministry for a term of office from June 30 to 20 1. This time, the teaching steering committees for foreign language majors, art majors, library science disciplines and liberal arts computer basics were established. There are several subcommittees under the Teaching Steering Committee for Foreign Languages and Arts.
