Compulsory education schools shall not hold key classes. The Education Bureau of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province issued a notice on the eve of this summer vacation, clearly requiring that no primary school or junior high school should take the exam.
Some schools in this city have violated the provisions of Article 22 of the Compulsory Education Law that schools shall not "divide key classes into non-key classes".
The main intention of the Compulsory Education Law is to promote the balanced development of schools and narrow the gap between schools.
When excellent students enter key classes, teachers will give priority to these classes, which makes it difficult to balance educational resources. This practice does not conform to the basic spirit of the newly revised Compulsory Education Law.
