Science education is a comprehensive discipline, involving natural science, social science, humanities and other fields.

The main courses of science education major include:

Basic courses of natural science: including basic science courses such as mathematics, physics and chemistry, aiming at cultivating students' basic scientific knowledge and scientific thinking ability.

Basic courses of social science: including social science courses such as philosophy, history and geography, aiming at cultivating students' scientific thinking and methods.

Basic humanities courses: including literature, art, music and other humanities courses, aiming at cultivating students' humanistic quality and scientific thinking.

Scientific method course: including the basic methods and skills of scientific research such as observation, experiment, analysis and explanation.
