Heilongjiang University of Finance and Economics has schools of financial information engineering, accounting, economics, finance, management, art, humanities, general education, Marxism, and sports and military teaching.

The school was established in April 1999. The school has nine teaching units, including economics department, accounting department, management department, financial information engineering department, humanities department, art department, basic teaching department, ideological and political theory department and sports military teaching department.

There are 30 undergraduate majors, covering six disciplines: economics, management, engineering, literature, law and art. There are full-time undergraduates 1 167 1 person.
