? Last semester, Minhou County Education Bureau equipped six smart classrooms for our school, which started a new journey of teachers' educational information learning practice in our school. During the winter vacation, I led the school teachers and the teachers of Ma Jixing team to read Learning and Teaching in the Digital Age. This is an important reference book in the era of educational informatization 2.0, a treasure book to promote the use of teaching system in smart classrooms in schools, and a rare desk book for the growth of teachers' informatization specialty.
? Our school philosophy is "to lay a foundation for every child's happy life" and the goal is "to educate people in an all-round way and establish quality education in rural areas". As the principal, I always think about how to run the school well, how to practice our school-running philosophy and how to achieve our school-running goals. "Creating rural quality education" means "laying the foundation for every child's happy life". To improve the quality of education and teaching, "creating rural quality education" must start with classroom teaching reform. Traditional teaching methods have been deeply rooted in rural schools. Everyone thinks a lot about changing the classroom and improving the efficiency of the classroom, and it is very difficult to practice. Challenge yourself and leave the teaching comfort zone, and new teaching ideas and methods may not be immediate, which leads to our classroom "the sound of the waves remains the same" and repeats yesterday's story. However, we are all in the "red dust" of the information wave, which constantly pushes us forward. As educators, we should keep up with the trend of the times, constantly strengthen our study and improve our information literacy, so that our students can make waves, become the masters of tomorrow and lay the foundation for their happy life.
With many expectations, I am holding the book "Learning and Teaching in the Digital Age" and looking through the dark blue cover. Deep space shines with countless light spots, connecting the whole world and the future. I choose to believe that technology can change the future, information technology can change education, teachers can change the classroom, and students can change their lives ... So, a brand-new reading journey begins:
The first module is based on the study of changing teachers' ideas, and several chapters clearly explain Dr. Wang Xuyi's views and their importance. Without ideas first, all technologies are empty shells without souls. Our traditional classroom is teacher-centered, and there are teachers everywhere, nagging over and over again for fear that students will not learn. Even if PPT is used, it is taught by PPT page by page. As long as the students answer correctly, they are considered to have completed the teaching task. Although I know that some students may not be able to learn, based on just 40 minutes, I have no choice but to finish it hastily, and then take the time to fill the gaps and clean up the mess after class. Teacher-centered classroom teaching consumes low energy, teachers are exhausted every day and students' learning efficiency is low. How to change this situation? As the book says, "the biggest obstacle for teachers to change the teaching methods and classroom models used for a long time is not the students in the classroom, but themselves, which is their obsession." Dr. Wang summed up a set of mental methods: "Less is more, and no talent is faster."
"Less is more" means that teachers occupy less time in class, talk less in class and hint less. So, how can teachers control their own shortcomings in class? I think when preparing lessons, teachers should take students' learning as the leading factor, students' learning tasks as the driving force, and study plans as the main factor. Mr. Tao Xingzhi pointed out that "the responsibility of teachers is not to teach, but to teach, but to teach students to learn". In preparing lessons, teachers consciously strengthen students' learning, strengthen teaching students to learn, and consciously control their own words. In class, teachers consciously quit the podium and walked among the students, consciously controlling language hegemony and making students talk more. Then, the teacher-centered classroom will gradually change into a student-centered classroom.
"No talent" means that teachers only prepare a small number of necessary teaching materials, or even no teaching materials at all, and use the materials produced by teacher-student interaction for classroom teaching. Another view of subverting convention. In daily teaching, a class shows more than a dozen PPT, which makes the teacher lose PPT. It is very common that there is no textbook in class. Without a speech, I think most teachers will be at a loss. Then, we have to think: are our textbooks only used to assist teachers in class? What kind of teaching materials can effectively promote students' learning? If the textbook comes from the generation of the classroom, it presents the state of students' learning and pays attention to the present moment of students' learning. It may be a word, a sentence, a topic written by a student, or even a scribble on a book. It may not be elegant and vivid, but it is the most authentic learning feedback of students, so that teachers can directly capture students' thinking and further promote classroom teaching. Is this textbook more suitable for students to learn? Is the classroom constructed in this way a step closer to the "student-centered" classroom?
? "Slow is fast" emphasizes that "education is the art of slow" and "teaching should adopt the agricultural model, and farmers' job is to create an environment suitable for crop growth, so that crops can grow under nourishment and everything can flourish naturally". Dr. Wang suggested that the teaching progress should be divided according to the teaching content and difficulty, and the class hours should not be divided equally. In particular, it takes more time to lay a good foundation for the basic content, and it is slow first and then fast. Just like the first week of each semester in our school, each class is required not to rush to catch up with the progress, first adjust the students' learning status, strengthen their study habits, sum up their holiday life and so on. Let students have a process of adapting to the school. Although it will take a lot of time, adjusting their learning status will speed up their future learning. Thank you very much for the word "immersion" mentioned by Dr. Wang. If you want to slow down in class, you must immerse students in teaching materials and learning. Learning in the classroom is often ineffective and varied, but in the end, it is a draw water with a sieve. "I have said this question, why can't students learn?" Is this sound particularly familiar to everyone? It is better to grasp the key points, be less but better, and give students enough time to immerse themselves in them, discover, explore and feel for themselves, so that the knowledge gained will be more valuable.
Mr. Tao Xingzhi proposed that teachers should have the creative spirit of "dare to explore new ideas that have not yet been invented and dare to enter the frontier of uncivilized". It makes sense, and the idea comes first, so there is the motivation to create. I believe in the power of change, and I also believe that the teachers in our school are willing to change and dare to change. Because, we all have a common desire: to lay the foundation for every child's happy life.
