The school was approved by the Ministry of Education in April 20 15, and was formally established and enrolled in May 20 17. April 20 15, the Ministry of Education approved the construction of Universities of Applied Sciences in western Yunnan, which is one of the first six precision assistance projects of Universities of Applied Sciences and the Ministry of Education in China. In February 65438, Zhou Yue was appointed President of Universities of Applied Sciences in western Yunnan.
20 18 May, Universities of Applied Sciences School of Management in western Yunnan was inaugurated.
