The senior high school affiliated to Beijing Normal University, referred to as "Beijing Normal University High School" for short, is the first affiliated middle school of Beijing Normal University directly under the Ministry of Education, the first batch of municipal key middle schools and the first batch of demonstration high schools in Beijing. The middle school affiliated to Beijing Normal University, formerly known as Wucheng School, was founded in 190 1. It is the earliest public middle school in China and one of the most famous middle schools in China, enjoying a high reputation at home and abroad.
