HKD SE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination) is called Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination in Chinese. This is a comprehensive assessment exam sponsored by the Hong Kong Examinations Authority. The annual examination date is from March to May, and most of the candidates are students who have completed the six-year (three-year high school) secondary school curriculum in Hong Kong. DSE originated from HKCEE. 1977, HKEA started to hold the annual HKCEE, and the last HKCEE was held in 20 10.

20 12 the hong kong examinations authority launched the hong kong diploma in secondary education examination (HKDSE) for mainland candidates.

DSE has set up three subjects, namely, A (high school subjects), B (applied learning subjects) and C (other language subjects).

The exam with the largest number of applicants is Class A, which is a high school subject. Generally speaking, DSE students should apply for 4 core compulsory subjects plus 2-3 elective subjects. Students' scores in the DSE exam will be evaluated and reported in the form of five grades. Among the candidates who have been evaluated in the fifth grade, the best score can be evaluated in the fifth grade, and the second best score can be evaluated in the fifth grade. Levels below 1 will be classified as "no rating" and will not be reported on the certificate.
