Lianyungang Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as Lianyungang Vocational College, was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education in March 1983. 1In March, 1999, Lianyungang Vocational College merged with Lianyungang Vocational Education Center and was renamed Lianyungang Vocational and Technical College. The school is located in the node city of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Corridor, the logistics transit base of China and Kazakhstan, and the "Belt and Road" intersection of Lianyungang, the SCO maritime base. In September 2008, he moved into the new campus, covering an area of 1 150 mu, with a construction area of 330,000 square meters. There are more than 500 faculty members and nearly 10000 full-time students. The school has nine secondary colleges, including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering, the School of Public Administration, the School of Business, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Art and Tourism, the School of Architecture and Engineering, the School of Foreign Languages (the School of International Exchange and Cooperation), the School of Continuing Education, the Department of Basic Courses and the Department of Political Education. The school attaches great importance to the construction of teaching staff, actively implements the training project of high-level talents and "double-qualified" teachers, and the teaching, scientific research and social service capabilities of teachers are constantly enhanced. At present, there are 225 teachers with senior titles (22 senior teachers and 203 deputy senior teachers), 256 teachers with master's degree or above (65,438 doctors and 238 masters), 2 excellent teaching teams in Jiangsu Province (application of chemical and pharmaceutical technology and numerical control technology), 5 famous teachers in universities in provinces and cities, and 65,400 students in the "333 High-level Talents Training Project".
