The 22nd Junior Middle School in Mudan District of Heze City was founded in 1982, and it is a key middle school directly under Education Bureau of Mudan District. The school has headquarters, west campus (Xingtan Middle School) and south campus (Xingtan Primary School).
The school has 48 1 staff and more than 8,000 students. With the approval of the higher authorities, the No.22 junior high school in Mudan District established the Peony District Xingtan Primary School, which is located in No.22 Central South Campus and has been enrolling students since August 2020.

The school adheres to the school philosophy of "cultivating modern people with all-round qualities to adapt to the future social development", takes "pursuing Excellence and being good at success" as its motto, adheres to cultural guidance and connotation development, and actively builds a platform for teachers and students to grow up happily. In 2000, the school established the first tutor department in Heze City, and in 2003, it took the lead in implementing the "Famous Teacher Project".
