Reading sowed the seeds of my dreams for me.
When I was a child, I liked reading. There are more and more words, and textbooks can't satisfy my desire to read. So, I often go to the teacher to borrow books and read newspapers, often until late at night.
When I was studying in the freight yard primary school, the head teacher Chen Ronggen always encouraged us to read more extracurricular books, which had a great influence on me. When I was a freshman in Nangang Middle School, I read Lu Xun's story and wrote an article entitled "The Immortal Hero-Mr. Lu Xun". I didn't expect teacher Qiu Youyue to copy the full text on the blackboard as a model essay to explain to the students. Lu Xun's story and Mr. Qiu's actions made me have a bold dream when I was young, that is, I want to be a writer in the future, so that my words can be turned into type and books for others to read and appreciate.
After graduating from high school, I returned to my hometown to farm. I always take a book with me in the field. When I am free, I will take out my books to read. At that time, it was difficult to see books in the countryside. In order to see more and better books, I often read books with my good friends Wan Xiaoming, Wan Jianxin and Long Langshun. This way of exchanging books allows us to get a lot of books from each other. I also have a long-term habit of reading and extracting wonderful paragraphs. Whenever you see a good long article, you can cut it, but you can't copy it or copy it. Up to now, at least 10 yellow newspaper clippings have been distributed in my home.
Although I farm at home, I still haven't given up my dream of becoming a writer. Moreover, as I learned more and more knowledge, my dream of becoming a writer became stronger and stronger. Soon, I joined the party's basic line education group in Nanchang County and became a member of the group, working in Donggenliu Village, Fushan Township. At this time, I have more opportunities to study. To educate others, we must first have "goods" in our stomachs and be unlearned. Where did the "goods" come from? This will force you to study. Later, he was sent by the village to participate in the construction of the spillway project of Tolin Reservoir, a large-scale project in the province, and compiled the "Field Battle Report" in Nanchang County Brigade. Forget it. What can I do without studying when I am the editor-in-chief of a tabloid?
A year later, I went back to the village to work in the village brick factory. In order to avoid the cold wind and keep quiet, I often hide in a broken cave in the east of the factory to read books. Small broken cave, which is the "Tsinghua Campus" I studied. Yes, I walked into Nanchang Normal Campus from this broken cave. 1977 After the Gang of Four was crushed, the college entrance examination was reformed. That year, I passed my first choice-Nanchang Normal School. After graduation, I returned to my hometown-Luojiazhen Middle School to teach junior high school physics and also served as the head teacher. As a teacher, studying is more important. It can be said that learning has become an indispensable habit "action" in my life.
Writing has accumulated "nutrients" for my dream.
Some things in life seem trivial, but they often have a profound impact on your life. Just because there is such a little thing, it has changed my life track.
1986, I was transferred to the office of the District Administration for Industry and Commerce. I only went out once there, that is, instead of a comrade, I took part in the photography training in the whole region and went to Wuyuan to collect scenery.
It was1on the afternoon of October 20th, 1990. Director Mao told me that your article was published in Jiangxi Daily.
After listening, I hurried to find the newspaper of the day. Open it, and sure enough, in the fourth edition, there is my article "Master Xiao".
This is an essay I wrote when I went to Wuyuan for a tour. I didn't expect it to be published in Jiangxi Daily. At that time, I was too excited to believe my eyes: is this true?
However, what moved me most was that one day soon, my name appeared in Jiangxi Daily. It was the "notice" that the author contacted the editorial department after seeing the newspaper, because the address was unknown and the manuscript fee could not be sent. When I saw this small print, I recalled that when I sent this article, it was sent to Jiangxi Daily, which I happened to come into contact with at that time. I just thought it was fun and threw it into the mailbox without even writing the mailing address. Unexpectedly, the editor of Jiangxi Daily received my manuscript, not only carefully edited and distributed it, but also published the "notice" of the manuscript fee in the newspaper so responsibly.
The spirit of running Jiangxi Daily is really touching and admirable. Jiangxi Daily fell in love with me at first sight, and I have a soft spot for her.
Since then, I have a new "friend"-Jiangxi Daily. Every day, I want to see her. In her, I not only learned a wealth of knowledge, but also broadened my horizons. Especially in news writing, I have benefited a lot. Under the guidance of Jiangxi Daily, I began to learn to write news reports.
Xiao Wan, your article was published in the newspaper. One day, the director came to me with Nanchang Daily. There are three lines of "one-word news" in the lower right corner of the newspaper, and my name is really on it.
Three days ago, I wrote three paper press releases and submitted them to the newspaper. I didn't expect them to actually use it. At this point, my interest in writing news was ignited. As long as something newsworthy happens at work, I will write a press release and throw it out. In the past year, I have published at least 100 press releases.
Soon, Minister Jiang Tie of the Propaganda Department of the District Committee found me: Would you like to take off this tiger skin and work in our Propaganda Department? I nodded and said yes.
The sea is vast, and the sky is high for birds to fly. At this point, my motivation to write news is unstoppable. It was the teacher Jiangxi Daily who led me to the road of news writing. I also became a special correspondent for Jiangxi Daily and other newspapers because I actively wrote press releases.
In the following year, I published at least 1000 press releases in various national newspapers and periodicals. Among them, Jiangxi Daily has 5 headlines every year, and there are at least 50 national newspapers such as People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency. Especially one year, my press release "There is no white strip in the suburbs of Nanchang" was also on the front page of People's Daily.
I remember 1998 that year, I was in charge of the press conference of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone with the investment promotion group in the district, because I was very tired from something. After a week of intravenous drip, my condition improved and the leader told me to go home and rest. I don't want to go home. Like most parts of this country, this area was hit by the worst flood in a century.
I had to go out sick during the flood fighting. I have the task of guarding a section of the South Embankment, and I am also responsible for the publicity and reporting of flood fighting and emergency rescue for cadres and masses in the whole region. So, during the day, I visited the dike section with the most serious danger of flood fighting and rescue in the whole region for an interview. In the evening, I will visit the south embankment. Meanwhile, write on the bank. Until the next morning, after I put the written manuscript in the newspaper, I rushed to the most dangerous place in the whole region for an interview.
In those days, I could see my feature story draft in Jiangxi Daily almost every day. Because of working day and night, the root of serious insomnia that still bothers me today fell at this time.
One morning, when I learned that there were many dangers of soaking springs in Xinzhou levee in Yangzizhou Township, our district, I and the deputy head of Jiang Anfeng braved the heavy rain and rushed to the levee. It's already half past two in the afternoon after interviewing the rescue situation on the spot.
At this time, I saw a wooden bucket full of water and tomatoes from the village party secretary: Governor Jiang and Minister Wan had no time to cook lunch. Please have some tomatoes for lunch.
This is a strange thing. Captain Jiang ate three tomatoes in a row, and nothing happened. But I ate only one tomato, and I had a high fever of 42 degrees, and I didn't give up for a week. At that time, cold towels and ice cubes were used to cool down, but to no avail, the high fever persisted. Finally, the disease was found by piercing the bone marrow: paratyphoid fever. After the doctor prescribed the right medicine, the high fever slowly subsided. After eating liquid food for two and a half months in the hospital, I finally got my life back.
According to the doctor's explanation afterwards, the water in the bucket is not clean. Naturally, tomatoes are infected. Governor Jiang is in good health and strong resistance. He will be all right after dinner. Besides, you are not well yet, and your resistance is naturally poor. Of course, germs will take advantage of it.
On the road of news writing, I have come all the way. Over the years, he has published more than 10,000 news articles in People's Daily and Xinhua Daily Telegraph. Because of my outstanding achievements in writing news reports, I am the deputy minister and director of the District Civilization Office, and I have also won many honorary certificates. What I am most proud of is the honorary certificate of model (excellent) correspondent personally awarded to us by the secretary of Wu Guanzheng Provincial Party Committee and other leaders at the annual commendation meeting of Jiangxi Daily. This 10 certificate of honor not only embodies the hard work of Jiangxi Daily editors, but also truly records the hardships I have paid on the road of news reporting.
I am very lucky. The short article many years ago made me have an indissoluble bond with Jiangxi Daily. This "love affair" not only changed my life track, but also laid a solid experience and writing foundation for me to realize my childhood dream of being a writer.
Fate makes my dream "blossom and bear fruit"
Most of what I publish in newspapers and periodicals are news articles, not literary works. Therefore, my dream of being a writer as a child was not realized until I was 50 years old.
Everything in life should pay attention to fate. It was a day in March 2007, and I accidentally fell down. It was this sudden serious illness that set me on the road of literature and made my childhood writer dream come true unexpectedly.
People were sitting well at home that day, and my right foot suddenly went numb, so I couldn't walk for a while. This is really: people sit at home, and disasters fall from the sky.
According to the doctor's instructions: this kind of lumbar disc herniation, just stick to walking backwards. So, I walked backwards for a week and felt much better. I thought it never rains but it pours I also blame myself for walking in such a hurry that I couldn't stand up straight with a big stone under my feet. Conclusion: Lumbar compression fracture.
Wan Xiaoming, a student who is the director of orthopedics at Jiangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said: You are very lucky. A little more, and you will spend the rest of your life in bed.
After hearing what he said, I suddenly broke out in a cold sweat: fortunately, it was a little bit worse, otherwise the consequences would be unimaginable.
Can I still stand up? I asked with concern.
An old frontiersman loses his horse—a blessing in disguise. Wan Xiaoming told me: Stay in bed for another three months, then maybe you can get up. It's really annoying Everything in life is out of order. I am sighing: this 100 day is like a year, how should I spend it?
I fell in love with novels, especially short stories, because I loved reading since I was a child and was influenced by ancient stories told by my parents, such as Romance of the Gods and Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio. I think short stories are short stories, but they are memorable and thought-provoking. The artistic conception that makes people think and reflects social reality is incomparable to other styles.
Because I like reading short stories, since I was transferred to the district judicial bureau as the director in 2002, I have ordered a book "Selected Mininovels" for many years. That day, Xiao Zhang, an office clerk, brought me a big bag of selected mini-novels: Director Wan, I know you like reading this magazine best. I don't usually have time to watch it. Is this the best chance? Afraid of your loneliness, I specially found these magazines for you to read in one breath.
I didn't expect Xiao Zhang to be so careful, so I became interested: people who know me, Xiao Zhang also.
Liu Guofang's "Empty Room", Teng Gang's "Stranger" series ... My heart fluctuates with the hearts of short story masters. Yes, I can finally lay down all my work and enjoy those little stories one by one while lying in bed to heal. Reading has become my healing medicine. In reading, I forgot the pain and trouble. I can't believe that my convalescence life will be so interesting.
Every time I see a little story that makes my heart beat, I can't help making a mark on the magazine with a red pen. But after reading all the short stories in the magazine, I read them carefully again. Two and a half months later, I sorted out a catalogue with 500 of my favorite short stories. Half a month later, lying in bed, I had the impulse to write short stories, and wrote three short stories at one breath: Fish in the Pool, Infighting and Returning to Pattaya.
The years passed. I was so busy all day that I forgot all about my illness. Suddenly one day, looking through the ninth issue of Selected Miniature Novels in 2007, I stumbled across the fish in my pond. What I wrote can also be published? This is incredible. When I saw that my short story really appeared in the magazine, I seemed to feel that the "string" buried in my heart since I was a child began to be gently plucked. Yes, it was the publication of this short story that gave me confidence and inspiration, and made me start thinking about my own life path. Maybe I can have a new way out. Soon after, when "infighting" also became a type of the 2007 edition of Selected Miniature Novels, my life took a turning point. ...
At this point, I have formed an indissoluble bond with short stories. No matter day or night, no matter work or making friends, whenever I have leisure, I will think of short stories. As soon as I was inspired, I began to write. In the autumn of 2007, I organized and planned the third stop of the first short story writers' association in Jiangxi Province. More than 40 short story writers in our province, including Liu Guofang and Xuedi, and Nie Lanfeng from other provinces? It was this year that the Luo Family Pen Club was named "Top Ten Hot People in Jiangxi Short Stories in 2007".
I can't believe a wrestling match made my childhood dream come true. ...
