The difference between history major and history education major lies in the university.
The monthly subsidy for history education (normal colleges) is much more than that for history majors, and we don't know much about it now. History education (normal) students study pedagogy, psychology and history teaching theory during their college years, and they can have junior and senior high school teacher qualification certificates when they graduate, while history non-normal majors do not have teacher qualification certificates, so non-normal students have to take the teacher qualification certificate again. During college, the main courses of history teachers and non-teachers are the same, and the graduation certificates are the same. Therefore, if you have the opportunity, you should report to the normal class, so you don't have to prepare for the teacher qualification examination after graduation, and the university subsidy may be more (the specific university situation is different), but all the six normal classes managed by the Ministry of Education are subsidized.
