Over the past decades, the school has been rated as "advanced unit of teaching and educating people in Shandong Province", "traditional school of track and field in Shandong Province", "advanced unit of flying recruitment in Shandong Province", "advanced collective of Red Flag Youth League Committee in Shandong Province" and "national defense education base". In May 2006, the school successfully passed the acceptance of provincial standardized schools, and was awarded the "National Key Scientific Research Base" in 2007. In February 2008, the school magazine Morning Bell won the first prize of the best school magazine in the Third National Selection of Excellent School Newspapers for Primary and Secondary Schools. In May 2009, it was named as "National Demonstration Base for Teachers' Morality Construction", the same year 18. After the resumption of the college entrance examination system, the school's college entrance examination scores won ten consecutive championships in the city.
