Feeding mode
Due to the different development stages of puppies, the growth ability of different parts of the body is unbalanced. In the first three months after birth, the main growth and weight gain, from the fourth month to the sixth month, the main growth body length, after seven months, the main growth body height, depending on the nutrients needed by the dog at different development stages, to determine the type and quantity of feed to be fed. After the puppies leave the bitch and enter an independent life, they should be quantified regularly throughout the growth and development period.
The above standards are for large dogs, and other dogs are determined according to the situation. Generally speaking, after feeding the puppies, there is food residue in the bowl, indicating that there is too much food; On the contrary, the dog continues to lick the basin with his tongue or look at his owner after eating, indicating that the food is not enough. Note: the puppy's feed must be high-quality and fresh, and prepared separately. Now feed on the spot (except commercial grain), avoid mixing food with water, pay attention to hygiene and prevent gastrointestinal diseases.
The owner of the puppy should feed the dog himself, regularly and quantitatively at a fixed place every day, and don't give any food during non-feeding time, so as not to let the dog develop bad habits. It is also necessary to carefully observe the feeding performance of puppies, especially during the group breeding period, to prevent a small number of puppies from overeating, resulting in uneven eating of other puppies. Because the digestive function of puppies is weak, the food they start feeding should not be too hard, and more rotten (processed) food should be fed.
Don't feed hard or cold food such as bones too early, so as not to affect the development of dogs.
1-2-month puppies: puppies of 2-3 months should be fed 4-5 times a day to control their food intake and supplement appropriate vitamins, minerals and calcium powder.
If possible, you can give the puppies some pig and bovine cartilage, but don't feed the chicken bones.
3 months puppy period: at this time, you can give the puppy some basic education and let him develop good eating habits in advance.
Dogs often play while eating, especially when eating dog food. If you find that they suddenly stop to play while eating, you should immediately take away their food pots for them to see, and you must wait until the next feeding. It usually gets better after that.
If she eats well, she can be praised in various ways. However, we must educate moderately and don't scold too much.
4 months: Four months after the puppy was born, the deciduous teeth began to fall off and the permanent teeth began to grow. At this time, his roots are itchy and he likes to chew everywhere. This bad behavior should be stopped by giving some bones or biting them.
Fix the stool twice every morning and evening, because if you eat too much, the amount will gradually increase.
Have a health check-up and urine test once a month.
