Tianjin Education Entrance Examination Institute, formerly known as Tianjin Education Entrance Examination Center, was established in 1992. The center was formed by merging the office of Tianjin College Admissions Committee and the office of Tianjin Higher Education Self-taught Examination Committee, and was built in 1972 and 1982 respectively.

In 20001year, Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government approved the establishment of Tianjin Education Entrance Examination Institute, which merged the entrance examinations undertaken by the former Tianjin Education Commission and Tianjin Education Bureau respectively to take charge of the education entrance examination in the whole city. Tianjin Education Entrance Examination Institute is responsible for the city's education entrance examination, and it is also the Tianjin Higher Education Admissions Committee.

Daily offices of the Admissions Committee of senior secondary schools and the Tianjin Higher Education Self-study Examination Committee. The main responsibilities are: to implement the national and Tianjin guidelines, policies and regulations on education entrance examination; Organize the implementation of the city's higher education entrance examination, higher education self-study examination, senior secondary education entrance examination and social examination;

Responsible for the management and organization of non-academic examinations held by overseas institutions in our city; To formulate the implementation plan for the reform of education entrance examination; Provide professional guidance and supervision to the institutions (personnel) of counties and colleges in the city; Organize the construction of examination proposition and question bank, and compile examination outline and related teaching materials;

Carry out scientific research on education enrollment and examination, and monitor and evaluate the quality of education; Guide and coordinate the informatization construction of the city's education entrance examination system; Develop recruitment information resources and carry out recruitment examination services; To undertake other tasks assigned by the municipal party committee and municipal government.
