National Security Education Day (English) is a festival to enhance national security awareness and safeguard national security. On July 1 2065438, the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) passed Article 14 of the National Security Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), and designated April 15 as the National Security Education Day for all.

April 15, 2023 is the eighth National Safety Education Day. The theme is "implementing the overall national security concept, enhancing the national security awareness and literacy of the whole people, and consolidating the social foundation for ensuring the new development pattern with the new security pattern".

The National Security Law stipulates that:

National security work should adhere to the overall concept of national security, aim at people's security, take political security as the basis, take economic security as the basis, take military, cultural and social security as the guarantee, rely on promoting international security, safeguard national security in all directions, build a national security system, and take the national security road with China characteristics.

Extensive public participation in the National Security Education Day will achieve good results in enhancing the overall national security concept. Through a series of activities on the National Security Education Day, the government and the public can effectively understand the requirements of the national security law, thus enhancing their sense of responsibility and improving their ability to safeguard national security.
