Ivy Bookstore, formerly known as "Liu Hua Bookstore". In the twenty-eighth year of Jiaqing, the "Shanyin County Records" was rebuilt: "Liu Huashu stopped at the east of the Mahayana Hall in Dayunfang, where Xu Wei was born." The owner of Liu Hua Bookstore is Wei Xu's father Xu Jian. There is a pool in front of the house, which is not full, dry and overflowing. It is called "Tianchi" and there is a pomegranate tree next to it, hence the name of the bookstore. There is a green vine by the pool, which is Xu Wei's hand sandalwood, and its branches are curly. It is better to cover the square pool with pine branches. There is a stone fence around the pool, which is of primitive simplicity. Lying on a flat bridge near the north, it is supported by a square column engraved with "Mid-stream in the column", and a bookstore is built on the bridge. The column is engraved with couplets: "A pool of golden jade is like a flower, full of green and yellow eyes", and the back is engraved with "Free Rock". These are all Xu Wei's calligraphy. Xu said that at the age of 20, he won a scholar and married the Pan family. After that, he left Liu Hua Bookstore. In the 23rd year of Jiajing (1544), Xu Wei's eldest brother, Xu Huai, died and Liu Hua Bookstore was sold. Fortunately, in the sixth year of Chongzhen in the late Ming Dynasty (1633), Yin Shan scholar Jin Lan initiated protection, built a monument in Dayunfang, engraved with "Mr. Xu Wenchang's hometown", and used the bookstore as a study to teach students. In the last years of Chongzhen, Chen Hongshou moved from Zhuji to his former residence in Xu Dong, and inscribed the tablet of "Qingteng Bookstore". Since then, "Liu Hua Bookstore" has been renamed "Ivy Bookstore". The Ming Dynasty perished, and the Wang Lu regime in Shaoxing failed. Chen Hongshou moved to Wu Bo, south of the city, and became a monk. The Ivy League Bookstore is a wasteland. In the 21st year of Kangxi (1682), Shi Shengji bought the Qingteng Bookstore from Pan, repaired it and properly protected it. To this end, Huang Zongxi wrote "A Journey to Green Plants", in which it is said: "Shi Si could not bear to abandon his literary length, and his literary length could not bear to abandon a vine. My friend won the sponsorship of Yoshiya, and I also saw that Wen Chang's prosperity remains the same. During the Jiaqing period, Chen Congshi bought the Qingteng Bookstore, which was expanded and rebuilt. The Qingteng Bookstore was divided into Tianchi, Shuteng 'a, Ziziyan, Yunshan Building, Hunru Ship, Zishang Hall, Sakura Pavilion and Persimmon Building. Qian Dading, please, inscribed a plaque for Chen's reconstruction, which was inscribed by Ruan Yuan. Chen is enthusiastic, but unfortunately he has changed his original appearance, which is not in line with his life experience.
1967, the Qingteng Bookstore was destroyed, leaving only dilapidated houses and withered old trees. 1980, Shaoxing County Cultural Relics Management Committee rebuilt the Ivy Bookstore, cleaned Tianchi Lake, repaired stone fences, replanted ivy, dug water, rebuilt couplets, built bookstores and renovated small gardens. According to the principle of maintenance of cultural relics protection units, the original appearance of the Ivy Bookstore was completely restored.
After more than 400 years of history and several changes, although it was abandoned, the square pool, stone fence, stele, ivy, couplets, plaques inscribed by Xu Wei and plaques inscribed by Chen Hongshou have all been preserved. Three study rooms, single bungalow, yin-yang brick and blue brick. Although it has been rebuilt by later generations, some components are still the original appearance, followed by the inner room, separated from the study room by a wall. Actually, it's the same as a beam frame. When the house is a small garden, old trees cover the sky, bamboo is swaying, there are several rockeries, pebble paths, laurel, plum, pomegranate and banana. Although it is not exotic, it is also beautiful, reflecting the artistic creativity of the ancient Han working people.
