Because of this, Fu Su prefers Confucianism, because the central idea of Confucianism is "self-cultivation, benevolence and ruling the country". Qin Shihuang, on the other hand, liked the legalist thought, that is, taking the law as the teaching and the official as the teacher to govern the country. In Qin Shihuang's mind, only legalism can make the Qin army stronger and stronger, because Confucianism advocates the system of enfeoffment, which will only disperse troops.

In addition, Qin Shihuang did not like Confucianism, which led to the inhuman incident of burning books and burying Confucianism in history.

How can Fu Su, the son who has always ruled the country with benevolence and righteousness, accept this? Nature was the first to stand up against Qin Shihuang. He wrote to Qin Shihuang, saying: Now the world is at the beginning, most people in other countries have not all surrendered, and none of those Confucian scholars are immoral. How can we win the hearts and minds of the people if we kill them now? I'm afraid the world will fall into chaos. Qin Shihuang was quite dissatisfied with this, publicly reprimanded Fu Su's following offenses and sent him to the frontier.
