Therefore, for domestic high school students, they need to study for one year before entering the undergraduate courses in Britain and Australia to make up for the 13 years of high school education, and then study undergraduate courses. The university system in Britain is three years.
Requirements of famous British schools
Famous universities in Britain, such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, London School of Economics and Political Science, generally only accept students who have completed the advanced level of A-level formal general education certificate and applied through UCAS, and do not accept students who have only completed preparatory education. Therefore, excellent high school graduates from China cannot enter the famous universities in Britain through preparatory courses held in Britain or China.
American academic system
The educational system in the United States is a four-year undergraduate education, and high school students in China directly enter undergraduate study after graduation. Before you have completed 60 basic courses, and the credits are equivalent to the junior standard, you can choose the undergraduate major you want to study eventually, complete the required courses of the last 60 credits, and get an undergraduate degree, so there is no bridging education like preparatory course.
