Education in Thailand
According to the spirit of education development planning published after the revision of 1977, the general policy of Thailand's education administrative system is to develop modern education to meet the needs of modern society, educate people to cherish the principle of constitutional democracy, and abide by the Constitution, government decrees, religious traditions and the will of the Thai king.

The national education administrative agency is: (1) State Education Commission, which is in charge of education planning, education research and education evaluation. (2) The Ministry of Education, which is in charge of national educational development, international educational activities, cultural affairs and educational institutions of religious groups. Before 1964, the Ministry of Education only cared about normal education institutions, regardless of universities. At the beginning of 1965, primary education institutions were directly under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Interior and government-level education administrative departments, and the Ministry of Education no longer managed them. (3) The Higher Education Office is responsible for the reform and development of all kinds of higher education in China. As far as the division of powers between the central and local governments is concerned, the decentralized system is implemented. The administrative department of education allocates educational funds to educational institutions and schools at all levels. Most of the education funds come from the state budget. Both public schools and private schools have government subsidies, but the government allocates more education funds to public schools.

The educational administrative districts in Thailand are generally divided into: Northern Thailand, Northeastern Thailand, Central Thailand and Southern Thailand. Due to the different levels of national economic development in different regions, the education level varies greatly among regions. The population in the central region accounts for one-fifth of the total population in China, with a relatively concentrated population, developed education and the highest enrollment rate of school-age children. It is the political, economic, cultural, educational and scientific center of Thailand. Northern Thailand is mainly mountainous, so education is backward. Preschool education is 3 ~ 6 years old; Compulsory education is 7 ~ 13 years old; Secondary school education 14 ~ 19 years old; University degree 20 ~ 23 years old; Postgraduate stage is 24 ~ 26 years old.

Most pre-school education institutions are run by private investors, and the government only runs a few model schools. Middle schools are divided into junior high schools and senior high schools. During the sixth five-year plan for education development, there will be 65,438+030 ordinary junior high schools and 65,438+020 accelerated junior high schools. High schools include ordinary high schools and vocational high schools. During this five-year plan period, the enrollment of schools at all levels in China will increase from 10505600 in 1982 to 1 1264600 (excluding the number of open institutions). Among them, the number of high school students will increase by 8.2%, that is, from 2,052,200 in 1982 to 2,729,500 in 1986, reaching about 3 1% in the age group of17. The number of colleges and universities will increase by 6%, that is, from 262,400 in 1982 to 327 100 in 1986 (excluding the number of open colleges and universities), accounting for about 5% of the population aged18-23. It is estimated that there will be 1253000 people in informal education from 65438 to 0986, an increase of about 17%. Thai food enjoys an international reputation. As a legendary fighting skill, Muay Thai is a sport famous for its strength and agility. Eight kinds of weapons, such as fist, leg, knee and elbow, are mainly used to attack, punching and kicking, which makes the knee and elbow force smooth, showing extremely abundant strength and sharp attack power. What people call Muay Thai generally refers to modern Muay Thai, not ancient Muay Thai. As a national art, Muay Thai is closely related to Thai traditional culture and has a strong religious color. For example, the introduction of apprentices, competitive etiquette and boxing and dancing ceremonies all have religious and artistic backgrounds. As for Thailand's classical poetic drama and dance art, many movements and details are integrated into boxing. For example, all kinds of boxing moves and boxing dances must be the art of drama and dance. From this perspective, Muay Thai is regarded as a national art in Thailand, which is by no means far-fetched, and is a very representative skill.
