Family education, family education
China people attach importance to family, so many books, proverbs and stories about family education have been handed down. Stories such as Family Training Poems and Twenty-four Filial Pieties are circulated among the people. There is also a more formal collection of ancient scholars' family instructions. Surnames are often used as the names of family instructions, such as Yan Family Instructions handed down to future generations by Yan Zhitui in Northern Qi Dynasty.

Family education in China is basically taught by the elders to the younger generation. However, the speed of social change is getting faster and faster, and the information that the younger generation has learned from the instructions of their elders may not be suitable for today's society, or it needs further transformation, which has also caused many family problems in China. All modern social problems, such as domestic violence, out-of-school children and lonely old people, are related to family education.
