The Ministry of Education is the government department in charge of education and language work. Comprehensively implement the educational principles, policies and regulations of the party and the state, study and formulate specific principles and policies for ethnic education, and organize their implementation.
To study and formulate the national education development plan and annual development plan, draw up the focus, scale, speed and steps of education development, and organize, guide and coordinate the implementation of the national education development plan, annual plan, education system reform and school-running system reform.
Responsible for the national basic education (including preschool education), special education, vocational and technical education, after-school education, adult education and higher education (including running schools by social forces), and coordinate, guide and supervise the education work of all districts, counties (countries) and relevant departments.
Responsible for the construction of the national team of teachers and education administrative cadres, and responsible for the qualification certification of primary and secondary school principals; Participate in the formulation of relevant policies and rules and regulations on personnel management in the national education system; Guide the reform of education and personnel system, and organize the implementation of employment distribution for graduates of normal universities. Overall management of the Ministry's education funds; Participate in the formulation of education financing, education loans, education fees and education.
Legal basis: Article 3 of the Regulations of the State Council on Working Hours of Employees stipulates that employees work 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week.
Article 40 of the Labor Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the employing unit shall arrange employees' holidays in accordance with the law during the following festivals:
(1) New Year's Day;
(2) Spring Festival;
(3) International Labor Day;
(4) National Day;
(five) other holidays as prescribed by laws and regulations.
