Mr. Ye Shengtao, a famous educator in China, said: "What is education? In a word, it is to cultivate good habits. " Therefore, it is a very important task to cultivate students' good study habits in primary school mathematics education.
In seven years of mathematics teaching, I mainly teach high school mathematics. Although the students' grades are not bad, after careful analysis, I feel that students generally have some common shortcomings in learning mathematics. How to cultivate students' daily good math study habits has become a problem I have been thinking about. After many times of analysis and summary, I think we can start from the following four aspects to cultivate good math study habits of fifth-grade students.
First, do a good job of "one end" and "one end".
Grade five students have the experience of learning mathematics in the first four years, so learning mathematics is relatively comfortable. The students in both classes I teach are very impetuous. In view of this actual situation, students are required to preview consciously before I teach mathematics. Through conscious preview, students can clearly understand the learning objectives of this class, understand the key points and difficulties, and go to class with questions, thus improving the effectiveness of classroom learning-I think this is very important. Because I think preview before class is an important part of learning, preview can remove knowledge obstacles in classroom learning and improve the effect of listening to lectures; They can also review and consolidate what they have learned. The most important thing is to cultivate students' self-study ability, reduce their dependence on teachers and enhance their independence. In the preview, let students know the general content of the textbook and the knowledge framework they have learned before; Find out the connection between the content of this chapter or this lesson and the previous knowledge, find out the old knowledge you need and make up the knowledge at this time.
At the same time, what students learn in class will be forgotten after class, which is a reflection of the law of brain forgetting. Therefore, only by reviewing in time after class and strengthening consolidation training can we reduce the forgetting rate and make up for the defects. According to the forgetting curve, the forgetting speed is the fastest two or three days after memory, and then it gradually slows down. Therefore, we should review what we have just learned. With the improvement of memory consolidation, the number of reviews can be gradually reduced and the interval can be gradually lengthened. It's time to strike while the iron is hot, and it's time to study. Avoid reviewing for a long time after studying. In this way, what you have learned will be forgotten, which is equivalent to relearning. As the saying goes, "review the past and learn the new", that is to say, reviewing the past knowledge can gain a lot of new gains. This "newness" mainly means that knowledge has reached the level of systematization and a new level of integration. Only in this way can students really benefit. Doing this "one head" and "one tail" well will play a vital role in the development of children's good habits.
Second, paying attention to "figure" is the key.
"Body" refers to the classroom. Whether you can concentrate and think positively in class is directly related to the effectiveness of students' classroom learning. Therefore, I think we should fully mobilize students' enthusiasm in class, so that they can truly become the masters of learning. Compared with other subjects, mathematics is boring, so mathematics teachers should carefully design teaching methods and means according to this reality and the characteristics of students. It is normal to encounter difficulties and confusion in math learning. In teaching, teachers should create a lot of opportunities for students to express themselves, encourage students to speak boldly, dare to question questions, and cultivate students' habit of expressing their views. Students are required to explore and solve problems in class without relying on others. In classroom teaching, pay attention to cultivate students' good habit of thinking diligently. Only in this way can students' enthusiasm be fully mobilized, and students can capture effective information, correctly understand knowledge points and firmly grasp what they have learned in class for 40 minutes under the guidance of teachers.
Therefore, in the teaching process, on the one hand, I use a variety of teaching methods, vivid language, and try to use visual teaching AIDS to attract students' attention; Capture students' interest, ask questions skillfully, inspire thinking and stimulate students' attention. On the other hand, it puts forward specific requirements for students to concentrate on listening. When listening to the students' answers, ask them to pay attention and think while listening. If the students answer correctly or wrongly, let them answer what to say. Over time, students have developed a good habit of paying attention to lectures and thinking positively.
Third, pay attention to the achievement of clear goals in mathematics learning.
Calculation is an important part of primary school mathematics, which runs through primary school, middle school and even the whole mathematics learning process. Computing can also be seen everywhere in life. Good computing habits directly affect the formation and improvement of students' computing ability. Therefore, in primary school, math teachers should strictly require students to develop good calculation habits.
The cultivation of computing ability is a long and complicated teaching process. To improve students' computing ability, only teachers and students can work together to see results.
Teachers should guide students to form the habit of carefully examining questions. Especially for application questions, most students don't carefully examine the questions. Even if they start writing, they don't understand the questions carefully, and they often make mistakes by reading the wrong conditions. In addition to cultivating the habit of examining questions, teachers should also guide students to check further after calculation. Checking calculation can not only ensure the correctness of the previous calculation, but also cultivate students' meticulous learning attitude. In addition to checking the questions specified in the homework, students should naturally develop the good habit of self-checking in their usual calculations. For example, in the teaching of decimal addition, I ask students to use their own original methods and then use other methods to do oral calculations, and then compare the results of the two oral calculations to see if they are consistent, so as to achieve the effect of testing. Finally, teachers should guide students to develop good habits of standardized writing. The writing of homework and exercises should be neat, not sloppy, and the format should be standardized. The writing of numbers and operation symbols must conform to the specifications. The numbers should be aligned, the number spacing should be appropriate, and the vertical style should be clear.
From the function of teaching, homework practice is an important link to consolidate and deepen the knowledge learned and form skills, which can not only reflect students' mastery of knowledge, but also reflect their learning attitudes and habits. Therefore, the amount of homework assigned by teachers should be moderate, targeted and purposeful. At the same time, optimize the working environment, arrange the math homework in the classroom as far as possible, so that students have enough time to think about and complete the exam in the classroom, and resolutely put an end to procrastination. Therefore, our teachers should strive to improve teaching methods, optimize teaching links, spread homework problems to all links according to the gradient in preparing lessons, reduce mechanical repetition in homework and improve the quality of exercises. From the feedback of correcting students' homework and the usual unit tests, I can see that students who generally finish their homework neatly and conscientiously rarely have calculation errors or missing questions on paper. Therefore, math teachers should strive to cultivate students' good habits of doing homework and checking carefully: prepare all school supplies before doing homework, and finish a certain amount of homework on time without delay; After finishing your homework, check carefully and correct any mistakes immediately; Homework should be written neatly, and the paper should be neat when answering questions. Before you finish your homework, you should review the lessons of the day or the contents related to your homework, and then finish your homework independently, and don't copy others'. Concentrate on your homework. If you are doing holiday homework, you should first make a plan to do homework and finish a certain amount of homework every day. Check carefully after you finish your homework, and correct your mistakes in time.
Many students finish the questions and let the teachers and parents check them. This has a good side, and it is easy to form dependent thoughts. In the study of students, we should gradually guide this enthusiasm to self-evaluation and let them form the habit of self-evaluation. After you finish your homework, check first, then read books when you find problems, check examples, evaluate whether it is correct, and sum up experiences and lessons in time. Teachers and parents can form good homework habits for a long time. These details seem complicated, but it is very important to cultivate students' careful habits from an early age for their study and even their future life.
Fourth, it is very important to apply what you have learned.
It is not enough to study every subject in the classroom. Mathematics is closely related to real life, so to learn mathematics well, students should also be required to read some extracurricular books and collect some living materials to broaden their horizons and increase their knowledge. In teaching, we should introduce some related extracurricular reading materials to students in a planned way, guide them to read, teach them effective methods of reading and collecting materials, and form the habit of reading after class, so as to enrich their extracurricular knowledge and deepen their classroom knowledge. For example, in the unit "Determine the location", guide students to collect practical examples about the unit in life. Students found a lot after class, and the knowledge of this unit was further consolidated through this activity.
In short, to learn math well, we must first develop good study habits. The cultivation of students' good study habits needs the correct guidance and cultivation of teachers. Cultivating students' good study habits is conducive to cultivating students' innovative consciousness and thinking quality, and lays a solid foundation for learning mathematics well and mathematics quality education under the new curriculum.
