Longkou No.1 Middle School in Shandong Province was founded in 1892. Formerly known as "Ha John School", it is called "Huayang Academy" in China. Longkou No.1 Middle School was formerly Shi Chong Middle School (1892- 1947), Huangxian Middle School (19 12- 1938) and Beihai Middle School (1942-/kloc). Huangxian Middle School was founded in 19 12, and closed in 1938 after the Japanese invaders invaded the Yellow River. Later, Zhicheng Middle School, National Defense Education Training Course, Jiaodong Public School, Jiaodong Military and Political University and Penghuangfu United Middle School were successively opened.
