Children in small classes need scissors to complete many activities in art activities, so how to teach children to use scissors becomes an important task. Some people say that children are too young to use scissors safely, but I think it is very interesting for children to cut and play with them as long as the methods are proper, which can not only exercise the development of their small muscles, but also cultivate children's good habits of patience and carefulness. In my opinion, to let children use scissors, they must be taught the correct way to hold scissors, which can neither hurt others nor be safe for themselves. First of all, I teach children how to hold scissors and let them hold the tips of scissors with their hands. Secondly, when using scissors, the tip must face directly in front of you. I use the method of transmission to let children pass scissors, so that they can master the method skillfully and form a habit. Secondly, when I teach children to hold scissors, I use a finger game that children are very familiar with: the thumb is the father, the forefinger is the mother, and the middle finger is the sister who teaches them to hold scissors. I also compiled a children's song "Little scissors, stretch forward, two caves stand up, the father in the upper cave drills, the mother and sister in the lower cave get in, and the little scissors and the baby bloom happily". As soon as the children's songs were read out, all the children started the game of drilling holes with their fingers. In the process of doing it, the children quickly mastered the correct method of holding scissors.
Children can cut paper strips at will for the first time. This is a very useful way for children to learn scissors. Children can cut paper according to their imagination and make themselves feel a sense of accomplishment. There is no right or wrong. They will boldly use scissors and practice over and over again. After the children used it skillfully for a period of time, I prepared some small notes with small straight lines for the children, and the children could click and cut along the straight lines. I told the child that it was shaving. In this activity, I asked the children to fry and burn the cut noodles in the doll's house. In this way, children are interested, their little hands can rest, and their enthusiasm for using scissors is enhanced.
According to my method, most children in our class can use scissors now.
