Where is the Chaozhou Revolutionary Martyrs Monument?
Chaozhou Revolutionary Martyrs Monument is a cultural relic protection unit, a red tourism classic scenic spot and a patriotic education base in Chaozhou.

The revolutionary martyrs monument is located in Chaozhou West Lake Park, at the northern foot of West Lake Mountain, with a height of nine meters. Completed on April 5th 1955. On the front (south) of the monument, the "Chaozhou Revolutionary Martyrs Monument" is engraved with the following words: "China Chaoan County and Chaozhou Municipal Committee, Chaoan County and Chaozhou Municipal Committee, China New Democratic Youth League Chaoan County and Chaozhou Municipal Committee, Chaoan County and Chaozhou Federation of Trade Unions, Chaoan County and Chaozhou Democratic Women's Federation were established on April 5, 1955." The east side of the monument is engraved with "Immortality", which was established by Chaoan County Committee of China; West Carving "Forever Evergreen" was established by Chaozhou Municipal Committee of China. In the north of the monument, there are 25 martyrs' names, genders and time of sacrifice.

Among these martyrs, Li Chuntao, Cai Yingzhi, Xie Hanyi, Zhuang, Li Shaofa and Wen Xixiang were killed by reactionaries during the Great Revolution and the Agrarian Revolution. Martyrs such as Chen Liangbao and Chen Chuming died in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. In the war of liberation, there were some martyrs killed by reactionaries, such as Ke Guotai, Li, and so on.

In order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed for the country, the nation and the people in the past, the people of Chaozhou built a monument in the scenic West Lake of Chaozhou, so that the spirit of the martyrs could be passed down from generation to generation. It has become an important place for patriotic education in Chaozhou.
