Guangdong Light Industry Technician College was founded in 1974, sponsored by Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and is a deputy department-level technician college directly under guangdong provincial department of human resources and social security. It is a national secondary vocational education reform demonstration school, a national high-skilled personnel training demonstration base, a commodity display technology project of the World Skills Competition, a beauty training base in China, and a technical education demonstration base jointly built by the province and the Ministry. Campus covers an area of 1.247 mu.
