Durkheim is usually regarded as the founder of educational sociology. Since then, the research and teaching of this subject have developed rapidly and expanded to other countries and regions with the United States as the center. After the founding of New China, under the guidance of the basic principles of Marxism, the research of educational sociology has been strengthened.
