Chengdu Xichuan Middle School is a private general complete middle school approved by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, which is mainly boarding. It is the only experimental base of middle school mathematics teaching reform in Sichuan Mathematics Association, the "National New Century Junior Middle School Mathematics Experimental Base" of the Basic Education Curriculum Research Center of Beijing Normal University of the Ministry of Education, and the Chengdu Sports Traditional Project School.

The school was recommended by Sichuan Province as the first batch of "Advanced Collective of Private Primary and Secondary Schools" in China, and was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of Private Education in Sichuan Province" and "National Excellent Private Middle School" by China Private Education Association, Professional Committee of Primary and Secondary Schools and China Teacher Development Foundation.
