Chifeng College was established on April 6, 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive undergraduate institution of higher learning, which is formed by the merger of Chifeng Teachers College for Nationalities, Chifeng Education College and Chifeng Branch of Inner Mongolia Radio and Television University, and at the same time, it combines some resources of Chifeng Health School and Inner Mongolia Kindergarten Teachers College.
