1903, American psychologist Thorndike published the book Educational Psychology, which is the first monograph named after educational psychology in the west. This book laid the foundation for the development of educational psychology, thus establishing the name and system of western educational psychology, and therefore educational psychology exists as an independent discipline. Thorndike is called "the father of educational psychology".
