People's Republic of China (PRC) Vocational Education Law is a law formulated according to the Constitution, which aims to promote the high-quality development of vocational education, improve the quality and technical skills of workers, promote employment and entrepreneurship, build a powerful country in education, human resources and a skilled society, and promote socialist modernization.
Revision and interpretation
On April 20th, 2022, the 34th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th NPC passed the amendment to the Vocational Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC).
The Law on Vocational Education was promulgated and implemented on 1996. Over the past 26 years, with the economic and social development of China, China has built the largest vocational education system in the world, and vocational education has played an important role in supporting the country's economic and social development.
Today, China has entered a new era in Socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the mode of economic and industrial development has undergone major adjustments and changes. How to adapt vocational education to the requirements of economic and industrial development in the new era, and how to establish a modern vocational education system that can support economic and industrial development, train high-quality skilled workers, meet the needs of enterprises, and promote high-quality employment of workers have become the core issues to be considered in vocational education law.
