At the beginning of the reopening of Lingdong Buddhist College, the teaching facilities were extremely simple, and the classrooms and student dormitories were all in the old and dangerous buildings behind the Buddhist scripture building, and the teaching and living environment was quite bad. In order to create a solemn and tidy environment and make the college develop better, Dean Ding really took the lead in donating all the money over the years, totaling1170,000, and advocated raising funds to build teaching buildings. This move has been strongly supported by the relevant departments of the provincial government and wholeheartedly supported by the top ten good letters at home and abroad. After a year of careful construction, it was finally completed on February 24 1997, and a grand inauguration ceremony was held. The new teaching building is located on the right side of Kaiyuan Temple, covering an area of 2,300 square meters. The whole building includes a college entrance, a four-story multi-functional teaching building (including Rain Hua lecture hall, classrooms, reference rooms, audio-visual classrooms, academic affairs office, archives room, and the editorial department of People with Lights, etc.). ), a four-story master's cabin, a two-story quadrangle-style monk dormitory, a two-story library and a VIP building. Under the strict management of the hospital affairs leading group with Dean Ding as the core, and with the conscientious and down-to-earth efforts of the teachers and students of the whole hospital, the college has graduated for three times, with a total of 137 monks, including 40 women in the first session. Later, due to environmental conditions, the women's class was suspended from the second session. The fourth session began in1September 1997, and now there are 30 teachers. Master graduated from China Buddhist College, Minnan Buddhist College and some local Buddhist colleges. External teachers include professors from Hanshan Teachers College, senior teachers from key middle schools in Chaozhou and calligraphers, with a term of two years. In addition, there are Fang, Huang Xinchuan, and other famous domestic Buddhist experts and scholars 13 visiting professors. At present, there are 46 monks, most of whom graduated from junior high school or high school, and some of them have technical secondary school or college education. They come from Northeast China, North China, East China, South China, Southwest China, Central South China and Northwest China, covering the whole country 19 provinces. Under the wise leadership of the current president, Hong Che, college affairs and educational affairs have been carried out smoothly, and the construction of study style and teachers' morality has made great progress. This year's school will be successfully completed in June 1999, and the fifth session will be enrolled.
