You must be curious how I came up with the idea of signing up for a training class for my children. That was two years ago. I was sent by my company to study in America for one year. During this period, I took my children to the United States, so that on the one hand, she could accompany me, and on the other hand, she could help her children improve their English and language skills in an English environment. After all, I know the importance of English.
Because I had to go to work, I didn't have much time to take care of her during the day, so I gave her an offline training class. At that time, I hoped to cultivate children's English language sense and pronunciation awareness. After about half a year, I stopped studying in this institution because I moved, and my children's English education was put down.
I thought that children who had been exposed to English before would know the common sense of contacting foreigners and how to communicate with foreigners, but it turns out that I think too much. I took my child to the square not far from home to play, and her first reaction when she saw foreigners was to hide. When others talk to her, she just says hello, which is much worse than other children of the same age.
When I found the problem, I began to feel a sense of crisis, so from that day on, I communicated with her intentionally or unintentionally, took her to see English picture books and listened to English stories. Maybe because she didn't pay attention to this aspect in the early stage, she studied very hard and always forgot what she had learned before every few days, which gave me a little headache. I also try to give her a good pronunciation environment, and often take her to places where there are many Americans so that she can communicate with foreigners. Even so, children are ashamed to speak, and their English level is slowly improving.
Later, because my family missed my child, my child stayed in the United States for about half a year and then returned to China. The first thing I did when I returned to China was to choose a better English institution for my children. In order to enroll my children in English classes, I looked up a lot of knowledge online, and all the offline institutions, large and small, ran everywhere, but none of them were to my liking, and the children's response was not very good, so I began to turn my attention to online English institutions.
No matter how big or small, I have made an appointment with all the online agencies I can understand anyway. You can try my attitude this time, and the response of each organization is different. Some institutions have not responded for a week after making an appointment. Usually I just give up. What I remember best is the small whale class. Shortly after my appointment, they contacted me to arrange an audition. They are the first organization to actively communicate with me, so my attitude towards them is naturally slightly different.
Finally, I chose the audition classes of three online English institutions, including the whale class. I have been watching the children during the audition. One is to observe the children's reaction, and the other is to look at the teacher's level and the content taught. At that time, there was a tutor whose content was simple English words, and the content was average, and the teacher's teaching methods were also average. Children have no passion at all. I auditioned again, and I said I would think about it. After listening to it, I contacted my staff and hung up on me directly. My attitude was very poor. And whales are what I am most satisfied with.
Before attending the audition class in whale classroom, the course teacher contacted me actively, debugged the equipment before class for me, and told me the problems that should be paid attention to in class, which was very careful and patient. In class, foreign teachers simply communicate with children and go straight to the main body. The course is compact and concentrated, and the children are always communicating with each other. After class, the children asked me when the next class was. Shortly thereafter, I received feedback from my teacher on the course. The content of the feedback is divided into several aspects, which is similar to what I thought. At that time, I thought this institution was good.
After comprehensive comparison, I discussed with my child whether she could attend the whale class. I thought she would hesitate and resist, but she agreed at once.
Now the children are still studying in the whale small class, and I will watch the videos of the children's classes from time to time. My children and foreign teachers are just like friends. They have interaction and communication. I am assured that my children are happy. Thanks to whales, we will continue to learn.
