After Islam was introduced into Ningxia, five sects gradually formed during its development, namely Gedimu Sect, Hufeiye Sect, Zhehelinye Sect, Gediminye Sect and Ihwani Sect. The basic beliefs of these five sects all belong to Sunnis, and their religious laws all believe in Sunni Hanafi Sect.
