Brief introduction of Beijing Chinese Language Institute
Established at 1950, Beijing Chinese College (formerly Beijing Secondary School for Returned Overseas Chinese) was founded under the cordial care of Premier Zhou Enlai and personally presided over by famous social activists, overseas Chinese leaders Ms. He Xiangning and Mr. Liao Chengzhi. It is the first tutorial school established in New China to recruit returned overseas Chinese students.

Being affiliated to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, this college is the only professional college in China that provides Chinese education for overseas Chinese children.

1949 10 1 After the founding of New China, a large number of overseas Chinese youths returned to China to join in the construction of new China. In order to help overseas Chinese students master Chinese as soon as possible, understand the national conditions and meet the needs of future study and work, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the Central People's Government (predecessor of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council) established the "Beijing Secondary Tutorial School for Returned Overseas Chinese Students" (predecessor of Beijing Chinese College) on 1950.

The Chinese University of Beijing has two campuses, which can accommodate about 2,000 students to study and live at the same time.
