Investigation report on psychological stress of college students

I. Preface With the development of society, social competition is becoming increasingly fierce. As contemporary college students, they are facing more and more pressure. Family, employment, interpersonal communication and other factors make college students seem breathless. If it is not handled properly, it will have a certain impact on the mental health of college students, and the consequences will be great or small, ranging from depression, autism and violent tendency to suicide. This is proved by the frequent suicides of college students in recent years. In order to further understand the inner world of college students and help them better cope with psychological pressure, this questionnaire survey was conducted.

Second, the time, method and object of the investigation

1. Investigation time

2. Investigation methods

Conduct an electronic questionnaire survey on the Internet. A total of 65,438+000 questionnaires were distributed and 65,438+000 were valid.

3. Investigation contents

According to college students of different genders and regions, their stress levels and main sources were investigated.

4. Respondents

This questionnaire is aimed at college students, mainly at junior college students and undergraduates.

Third, the analysis of the survey results

With the rapid development of the world, fierce social competition and increasingly responsible social relations, college students are under pressure from all sides. Family pressure, parents' expectations, employment pressure and the complexity of interpersonal relationships have virtually affected college students' physical and psychological health. For college students, it is more challenging to learn to improve their ability to resist pressure, which can not be ignored. The subjects of this survey are not from the same school, but from many universities. The total number of valid questionnaires is 100, which is reliable to a great extent. Through this questionnaire survey, we summed up the psychological stress problems that are common among college students at present as follows:

(A) from the psychological pressure of college students:

The results of the survey report show that 6 1% of college students have occasional pressure on their current studies, 22% think the pressure is great, and only 13% think the pressure is small. This result shows that most college students are under pressure from their current study, and the proportion of them who feel great pressure can not be ignored. Of course, at this point, there are also different factors, such as gender, region, personality and so on, which will have an impact on this data. According to the analysis in the survey report, boys are more stressed than girls in the degree of stress: 54.55% of boys think it is very stressful, while girls only account for 45.45%, which has a great influence on traditional concepts. For a long time, men have been regarded as the pillar of the family and have to support their families. To learn to be alone and face the society better may have taken root in their psychology long ago, or it may be that under the long-term education of their families and parents, their sons have to do so.

In addition to gender, it also plays an important role in the degree of psychological stress of college students. Students from rural areas are generally more stressed than those from cities: the survey report shows that the choice pressure is great, with 15% in rural areas and 7% in cities; Choose those who are occasionally stressed, accounting for 43% in rural areas and 18% in cities. This result is also in my expectation. The economy and culture in rural areas are worse than those in cities. Rural students are taught to read good books and get out of rural education at an early age, so rural children will study harder, but in this way, the pressure will increase invisibly. In addition, people in the village are used to constantly going to the city to find jobs and make a living. Some people even prefer to rent a house in the city rather than stay in the countryside. There are too many facts in front of rural students. Only when they are good enough and work harder than others can they get out of poverty. Students in cities may be accustomed to a comfortable life, so they are not more sensitive to the sense of crisis than rural students, because they know that at least with their parents behind them, the pressure will be less than rural students.

Of course, personality factors also play a role. When asked about the current pressure, students with cheerful personality are much more optimistic than those with introverted, indifferent and withdrawn personality.

As shown in the figure, among those who are under great pressure to choose, 43.90% are cheerful, 46.34% are introverted, 70.97% are cheerful, and 25.8 1 are introverted, which is quite different. Obviously, the more cheerful students are, the less psychological pressure they have, which may be because of their different mentality.

(B) the main aspects of college students' psychological pressure

According to the survey results, the main aspects of college students' psychological stress mainly come from employment pressure, family pressure, interpersonal communication and emotional treatment.

From the actual results, among the main psychological sources, 77% students choose employment pressure, 43% students choose family pressure, 32% students choose communication pressure with teachers and classmates, 30% students choose emotional pressure, and of course there are some other pressures. The ratio of 77% to 43% makes me have to pay attention to the heavy psychological burden of college students, which is almost 1. When asked about the pressure in family education, 74% students chose the expectation from their parents, 18% students chose the poor family, that is, the family economy was not good enough, and 6% students chose the bad family relationship.

It can be seen that employment and family pressure are the main aspects that cause college students' psychological pressure, and emotional and family economic problems are also important parts. Through comparative analysis, we can easily find a main line: rural children are more stressed than urban children, boys are more stressed than girls, and introverted people are more stressed than cheerful people.

(3) Analysis of pressure sources

1, employment pressure

Employment pressure is the most important aspect of college students' psychological pressure, which almost exists in college life and increases with the passage of time. The complexity of society, fierce competition and unpredictability of people's hearts make college students who are used to smooth sailing more afraid. In recent years, the number of college students is increasing, but the relative employment gap has not changed much. In a talented society, it is really difficult to drill a corner. Besides, some students are not satisfied with their majors. In the survey, 43% of the students were dissatisfied with their choices, and 24% said they had no feelings. This situation is really worrying. Profession can't give them a sense of security, and the competition outside is so fierce that it forms a contrast and makes them worry. They are worried that their post after employment is not ideal, their salary is not satisfactory, or they will be eliminated by competition sooner or later.

2. Family pressure

From the source of stress, 43% students chose family pressure, which shows that their weight is not optimistic. It has always been the wish of many parents to look forward to their children and their daughters. They have been given high expectations since childhood, especially students from rural areas, and the pressure in this area will be more obvious. After studying hard at the cold window for more than ten years, family members expect their children to graduate from college and find a good job, and students themselves naturally bear this expectation. They also want to do their best not to disappoint their families, but compared with their own conditions and social challenges, they have to sigh that their future is bleak, and they are always worried that they will eventually face unemployment after graduating from college and become good friends with their families. In addition to family expectations, students' pressure also comes from family environment. 18% of the students think that poor family background and disharmony with family members are also one of the reasons for their mental burden. Faced with all kinds of pressures, I want to rely on it and find some warmth and support when I go home, but there are always contradictions and quarrels between my family members. Everyone is really worried and in a bad mood. From the examples around us, we can also find that students with harmonious families will have a more cheerful personality and a much stronger psychological endurance. This can also be found in our investigation.

3. Interpersonal communication

University is a half-society, and we have to talk to teachers and classmates every day. Compared with junior high school and senior high school, the frequency of talking with people is greatly improved, and the people we face are varied, which requires us to improve our interpersonal skills and abilities. 30% students choose to communicate with teachers and classmates as part of their psychological pressure. They may be worried about how to communicate with them better, because in college, connections are very important and relate to your various evaluations. In addition, people with strong interpersonal skills can do things very smoothly and have many friends. Not to mention living on campus, just talking about how to get along with roommates and running in with each other in the dormitory also requires good communication. During the four years of college, we were almost all in the same dormitory, and our roommates stayed with us like family. If you can't communicate with them well, how can you spend these four years in college?

4. Emotional problems

When they arrive at the university, many people choose to date, and the emotional uncertainty will make college students feel distressed. College students will taste more ups and downs. In the survey report, 30% people also listed this as the cause of psychological stress. There are many examples of being trapped by love around us. Those who are introverted and don't know how to decompress are more likely to have more serious consequences, such as lovelorn suicide.

5. Study pressure

In college, teachers' teaching methods have also changed in the face of different subjects. Although I won't learn as much as junior high school, if I do, I will learn much more than before. In addition, some students are not interested in their professional subjects, so they gradually learn to skip classes and have a weariness of learning. After becoming university cadres, some of them became very uneasy because they could not handle the relationship between study and work well. On the one hand, I want to get exercise through work, but it often affects my study.

Four. conclusion

From the survey results and our analysis, the psychological pressure of college students is universal. How to better reduce psychological pressure and promote college students' mental health, there are the following suggestions and strategies:

1. Form a good positive attitude. On the road to growth, everyone will encounter difficulties and setbacks, not to mention living in a small social campus. Don't compare with others, because "there are mountains outside the mountains, there are people outside the people", do your own thing, find your own position, and walk towards the goal in a down-to-earth manner. Even if you fail in the process, you should learn to stand up strongly, because tears can't solve any problems.

2. Don't pay too much attention to the professional "cold" and "hot". The society is changing rapidly, and no one can guess which major will have a better future, so there will be no distinction between "cold" and "hot" now. Learn your own skills, because generally speaking, society still needs more professionals, not generalists. Of course, professionals are not ignorant of other aspects of knowledge, but "there is specialization in the industry." Besides learning to control one's weariness of learning, one should also correctly handle the relationship between study and work. To get a bumper harvest in these two aspects, we must make greater efforts than ordinary people, with gains and losses.

3. Learn to communicate with your family. Family problems will happen to everyone, and the point is that I will see how we deal with them. We can't choose our birth, but we can change our destiny through our own efforts. We should learn to be considerate of our families. No matter what they want from you, the starting point is to love you. We should always realize this. To learn to communicate with your family, only by approaching your family can you better handle the contradictions with your family.

4. Open your heart and learn to tell others. When you are depressed, you should learn to give psychological counseling correctly, such as chatting with others, taking a walk outside, or singing, and take more ways to divert your attention to ease your mood. Maybe some people will be more reluctant to let go, and they will adopt a defensive evasive attitude towards people and things around them. At this time, we need to put down our guard properly and learn to approach others, so that others can approach your heart.

Schools should hold more activities that are conducive to psychological counseling, so that students can vent their emotions and relax in an active activity atmosphere. Open a psychological counseling room, so that students can solve their own puzzles and learn to say their own problems. Of course, psychological counseling teachers also need to respect students' privacy, not reveal students' secrets, and better guide them.

Investigation report on psychological stress of college students (part two)

This activity takes the students of history department of Social College as samples and conducts a sampling survey. This survey, in the form of questionnaire, aims to investigate the mental health status of students in Anhui Normal University. A total of 96 questionnaires were distributed, and 90 were recovered, with a recovery rate of 93.75%, of which 8/kloc-0 was valid, with an effective rate of 90%. This report adopts the method of effective questionnaire sampling, and selects 20 samples for analysis. The results are announced as follows: 1. Learning problems.

In this survey, learning is the most concerned and prominent issue for students. For example, in question 33, "The psychological pressure caused by arranging the following items in descending order", 44% of the students think it is the psychological pressure caused by study. This shows that nearly half of the students who have just entered the university life are not adapted to the university life, especially the university learning style, and feel great psychological pressure. After the tense college entrance examination, many students can't adapt to the open and relaxed learning and lifestyle of the university, or they are too nervous to get rid of the exam-oriented education in high school, or feel that life is empty, doing nothing all day, neglecting their studies and wasting their time. Another example is question 29, "What do you think is your frustration after going to college?" Among them, 33% students choose "unsatisfactory academic performance", which shows that freshmen are in urgent need of guidance in their studies and seek a sense of psychological accomplishment.

Second, spare time life.

Among the students surveyed, 45% feel that college life is free and open, and students pay more attention to learning and have high learning consciousness. Among them, 56% of the students asked the third question, "What do you mainly do in your spare time?" On the contrary, only 10% students choose to play games or online dating. But it also reflects from the side that students' psychological learning pressure is still great.

Third, economic life.

Nowadays, college students have little difficulty in economic life. The sixth question is "Do you have enough living expenses every month?" In the middle school stage, 67% of the students are basically enough, and 1 1% of the students have surplus. At the same time, in the seventh question, "Do you think that the monthly living expenses are a burden on yourself and cause psychological pressure?" 60% students think there is no pressure. All of the above shows that with the development and progress of society and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the living standards of college students are also improving, and the psychological pressure of college students is obviously reduced due to economic life.

Fourth, interpersonal communication.

Interpersonal communication is a prominent issue in this survey. Question 33, "Please rank the psychological pressure brought by the following items from big to small", 33% of the students think it is the psychological pressure caused by "interpersonal relationship". And in question 8, "Do you often feel lonely or lost with a group of friends?" 79% students choose "yes" or "sometimes", which reflects that contemporary college students lack the ability to communicate with others. Similarly, question 29, "What are your frustrations after going to college?" 33% students choose "unsuitable for dormitory life", which is equivalent to the number of students who choose "unsatisfactory academic performance". It can be seen that learning methods and interpersonal communication are the two most serious problems among middle school students in this survey.

A considerable number of college students come from rural areas. In my previous daily life, my anxiety range was narrow and I had less opportunities to communicate with others. When I first arrived at the university, faced with such an open and free environment, so many classmates. Faced with so many public occasions, I am at a loss and confused, so I am ashamed to express my introverted personality. Students who grow up in cities come from one-child families, so it is difficult to understand the situation of rural students. So a gap was formed. Meanwhile, in question 20, "Do you think most people can't be trusted?" There are 78% students who think "yes" or "occasionally". This reflects some problems in college students' interpersonal communication.

Fifth, psychological balance.

Question 1 "What do you think is the gap between your current school and your ideal university?" In the middle school stage, 56% students choose "very big", which reflects that there is still a certain gap between the ideal university and the real school. Question 13 "Do you feel confident?" 69% students chose "not confident" or "sometimes not very confident". The fifth question, "What do you think is your worst in college life now?" There are 57% students who think they lack self-confidence, both of which reflect that our classmates are not confident enough about themselves. However, in question 23, "Is it hard to say your troubles?" Do you often feel like a failure? "Only 20% of students think they don't have such a problem. Question 26: "Have you always had a clear goal in life? Are you working hard for it? "Only 3 1% of the students think it is' yes'. These two problems also show that students have no clear goals and no confidence in the future. The above problems show that students have not reached psychological balance from different angles, and there is always a gap between ideal and reality.

This survey fully reflects a series of psychological problems of contemporary college students, who are typical of the students in the history class of grade 07 in Social College. It provided real and rich materials and vivid examples for school mental health education, and achieved the purpose of this activity, which was relatively successful. This activity has received strong support from all sides, and once again I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the Starfish Research Association and the 07 History Class!

Investigation report on psychological stress of students in three majors

Through investigation and test, it is found that 20.23% people have obvious psychological barriers, and dozens of college students commit suicide every year because of lovelorn love, failed exams, interpersonal conflicts and frustrated life. According to the survey of universities in Shanghai, among the more than 200 reasons that annoy college students, interpersonal relationship, students, the opposite sex and worry about the future each account for 20%. With the increase of college students' only children and poor students, these psychological problems will become more prominent. If we do not seriously study and solve the mental health problems of college students, it will not only seriously affect the quality of future senior talents, but also induce a series of social problems. Psychological problems have posed a serious threat to college students' physical health and academic success. The cultivation of college students' healthy psychology has become the focus of attention in today's society and colleges. For this reason, I conducted a random sampling survey among my classmates to solve this problem through the discovery of the problem and make my own contribution to relieving psychological pressure! Questionnaire on psychological problems of college students.

I. Introduction to the basic situation of the investigation

The survey method is random sampling survey among my classmates and questionnaire survey. This survey was distributed with the help of Tencent QQ and supported by most students. A total of 65,438+020 questionnaires were distributed in this survey. The subjects were undergraduates and junior college students, including 70 males and 50 females. A total of 108 questionnaires with analytical value were collected. This survey has been strongly cooperated by students, which has certain analytical value and high credibility.

Second, the investigation and analysis

(A), interpersonal problems

According to the survey, some college students often show conceit in the process of interacting with their classmates. They are self-centered, always want to express themselves, and often complain that others don't understand, care and care. Some college students are introverted and are not good at expressing their ideas. For example, it is found in the survey that 4% of the students will have conflicts with others without being understood by others, and they are irrational. 65,438+05% students have different degrees of resentment and depression! Unwilling to communicate and cooperate with classmates, reading only sage books wholeheartedly leads to psychological problems such as autism and paranoia among college students. In addition, college students are prone to conflicts because of their personalities and interests, which leads to mutual indifference and even hatred among some college students. In the long run, they will accumulate psychological problems in their hearts and are prone to mental illness.

(2) Academic problems

According to the survey, 14% students think university life is boring, because there is no passion and enthusiasm in classrooms, dormitories and canteens from three to one. It is understood that the main academic problems are: (1) great learning pressure; (2) Lack of learning motivation; (3) the learning objectives are unclear and the academic performance is not ideal; (4) inattention during study.

(3), love and sex.

Most college students are between18 and 25 years old. The process of physical and mental development has entered the stage of sexual physiological maturity and sexual psychological maturity. Many college students have begun to fall in love, but they are often confused about how to treat love and sex.

(4) Emotional problems

In the aspect of emotion, it is found that 12% students dare not speak loudly in front of their classmates, which reflects some emotional problems. After entering the university, the transposition of social roles has caused many psychological conflicts among college students, resulting in inner pain and anxiety. The main emotional troubles of college students are: (1) depression. Depression is the most common emotional distress of college students. If there is no timely psychological consultation and treatment, it will form a serious mental illness with serious consequences. (2) anxiety. It usually includes the loss of self-confidence, self-esteem, sense of failure, and the increase of guilt. It is an emotional experience in which a variety of emotions are mixed and affect the normal life and study of college students. (3) Inferiority. Most people who feel inferior are introverted, often feel inferior everywhere, and always feel that others look down on themselves; Looking ahead and looking back, timid; Dare not associate with others, dare not practice, thus inhibiting their talent and opportunities for progress. (4) indifference. Generally speaking, it is indifferent to any external stimulus, indifferent, neither communicating with people, nor meddling, and looks as cold as ice. On the surface, indifferent students are indifferent. In fact, some students are very painful and oppressive. If it is not alleviated for a long time, it will cause serious adverse consequences!

(V) Experience of problems and causes and analysis of enlightenment from practice.

It is understood that there are many reasons for college students' psychological problems, including family environment, educational environment, social environment and other factors, as well as subjective factors in their own development process. Social factors In today's highly developed material civilization, material civilization is constantly developing, but the lack of psychological education for college students makes them have a series of psychological problems. College students are in the formative period of their world outlook and outlook on life, their physical and mental conditions are unstable, and their psychological quality is still very fragile, which easily leads to the confusion of values and the ups and downs of emotions, resulting in psychological complexity and turmoil. Family factors still exist. Most of them are only children. They were born with golden keys in their mouths, and they are the treasures of the family. Being pampered from childhood leads to their poor psychological endurance. Self-factors and college students' individual factors are personality defects that affect and restrict college students' psychological individuals. The personality structure of college students is complex and there are many influencing factors. In the process of personality formation and development, bad factors affect the healthy development of their personality to varying degrees, leading to defects in their personality development. The research shows that a considerable number of college students have personality development defects in different degrees, which are withdrawn, indifferent, suspicious, sad, impatient, impulsive, stubborn, stubborn, prone to extremes, proud, vain and self-centered. Self-awareness lacks objectivity and correctness. College students' self-awareness is a prominent aspect of their psychological development, and it is also one of the most concentrated manifestations of their personality development. Self-awareness includes self-awareness, self-experience and self-control. College students are interested in self-knowledge and self-evaluation, but they often lack objectivity and correctness. Sometimes I feel that I am too good and conceited, and my self-expectation is too high, which deviates from the actual level. Once you encounter setbacks and misfortunes, you will reverse because of deviation, go to the opposite side, have inferiority complex, have low self-evaluation, and cannot know yourself objectively and correctly. Lack of correct interpersonal skills, interpersonal communication is one of the most concerned and confused problems for college students. The quality of interpersonal relationship often affects college students' study, life, work and other aspects, as well as their correct understanding of themselves, thus affecting their mental health. It can be said that the lack of interpersonal skills is the most direct reason for college students' psychological confusion. The change of living environment, psychological research shows that the great change of the individual's environment will make the individual have psychological pressure. The change of living environment is a great challenge for freshmen.

Conclusions and recommendations:

In view of the problems found in the above survey results, I would like to put forward my personal views and opinions, hoping to help you in your future employment.

1, we should be more active in dealing with others, instead of waiting for others to take the initiative. The initiative of students in the relationship between teachers and students is more important. Teachers in universities are no longer teachers who get along with students in middle schools day and night and are bound together for the common learning goals. Teachers in universities have their own busy work and study, and only teachers can be seen in class. Therefore, the initiative of teacher-student communication is in the hands of students. When encountering psychological or other problems, it is also very beneficial for students to actively seek solutions from teachers and keep close contact with them if possible.

2. Long-term relationships between classmates, especially roommates' long-term life and study. It is inevitable that there will be big and small contradictions when you get along for a long time. When these contradictions appear, we should actively seek solutions, not intensify and expand them, and try our best to solve the problems calmly through consultation. At the same time, when dealing with classmates, we should maintain a tolerant psychology and put ourselves in others' shoes. We should not be self-centered and only care about our own feelings, regardless of the feelings of others.

When dealing with heterosexual relationships, both boys and girls should take the initiative and don't feel shy. In interpersonal communication, the communication of the opposite sex is very important. Therefore, you should be natural and graceful in your communication with the opposite sex. In the communication with the opposite sex, it can not only give people emotional satisfaction, but also make the opposite sex of different personality types complement each other, be more gentle and perfect their personality, and cultivate a sound personality.
