What system does preschool education in America belong to?
Education in America is divided into two systems: public schools and private schools.

Tuition in public schools is free from primary school (starting from preschool in some areas) to high school, and tuition in universities is more than half cheaper than that in private universities (but foreign residents do not have this discount).

Private schools are expensive, far exceeding the developed countries in Europe and Canada, both of which belong to North America, but the general teacher-student ratio is dominant and the quality of education is relatively high.

There is no unified syllabus in American education, and schools and teachers have great autonomy. Recently, some states began to set up standardized tests, which meant a syllabus, which was resisted by many teachers, students and parents.

The definition of primary school varies from place to place in the United States. Most of them, like China, refer to grades one to six, but there are also grades five or even four that are considered as middle schools. The so-called high school generally refers to the four years of grade 9- 12.

Universities in the United States can be divided into public and private universities, comprehensive universities (including undergraduate and graduate students), liberal arts colleges (with only four-year undergraduate courses but no graduate students) and community colleges (with different academic systems, similar to those in China).

In the United States, it usually takes only one or two years to finish a master's degree, which is shorter than that in China, but it usually takes six years for doctoral students to study liberal arts. In addition, medical and law majors in the United States belong to the postgraduate stage rather than undergraduate majors.

Education system:

Education system refers to the whole of interrelated educational institutions or the orderly combination of various educational elements in the education system. From the perspective of big education, the education system can be divided into broad sense and narrow sense.
