Some actors always look at problems from a new perspective and have a unique understanding of life and art. After comprehensive study and research, I find it difficult to express my feelings and ideas with the existing performance techniques, so I am determined to innovate and strive to explore new performance techniques, so as to obtain distinctive personal artistic characteristics.
When they have solid professional performance skills and first-class personality charm, create a difficult role image with novel performance techniques, and have a wide and far-reaching impact on society, their distinctive personal artistic characteristics will be sublimated into artistic style. This is the highest realm of performing arts and the highest realm of actors: the master of performing arts!
The main characteristics of epic drama
Brecht's epic drama is directly aimed at this kind of "experiential" traditional drama that was popular in Europe at that time. Brecht believes that experiential drama is to insist on controlling the emotions of the audience, so that they give up their ideal thinking in a strong resonance experience and are in an unconscious and uncritical ecstasy state. That is, they can't understand the real world they live in, and they can't play the educational function of drama to help people understand and transform the world.
Different from empirical drama, Brecht's epic drama looks forward to traditional drama with time and rational narrative as elements. He doesn't want to arouse the audience's passion and resonance through conflict as in traditional drama, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying emotions. Instead, he uses narrative and critical means to "separate" themes from events, arouse the audience's amazement and gain rational gains.
